Dormady's playing time.

Ya really. He's a great athlete that can run but I've yet to see what I need to see from him throwing the ball.

Thanks Nationdom you proved my point. You have yet to see ANYTHING AT ALL OUT OF Dormady" in a game.

Dobbs threw for 62 % average in his 2 seasons that sounds way to inconsistent to play for Tennessee right?

I watched the games pal and his downfield accuracy isn't where it needs to be to win a natty. A lot of guys can dink it around.

Our whole team isn't where it needs to be to win a natty, bro. His down field passing hasn't been horrible there have been a lot of drops. I am sure if you watch this year you'll see we don't even need to throw it down field to win. Dormady hasn't even thrown a pass in a game?

Nobody has been more pro Dormady than myself...except perhaps the coaches. However you cannot name one person on this board who has called for him to start over Dobbs. It just hasn't happened. You're simply arguing for the sake of argument, and your assertion has no basis in reality.

You're right I Can name 2 who have said it, Nationdom and madbamahater....check my stats. Why do you speak of what you do not know?

Dobbs has been wildly inconsistent, if he doesn't figure it out soon this year QD should be inserted. I don't think Jones will make the same mistake he did last year.

Sounds close enough dude.

He needs to play the entire 4th quarter of the BG game IMO. Wide open, no safe play calling either.

I was just thinking, that Dobbs will play the first half and a couple of series in the 3rd quarter and then CBJ lets Dormady play the rest of the game and I agree on the wide open part

of course this is my baseless assumption :hi:

Building separation and getting QD ready to step in.

Dobbs - 15, 16
Dormandy - 15, 16, 17, 18
Guarantano - rs-16, 17, 18, 19, 20
Johnson rs-17, 18,19,20,21
???? rs18, 19, 20, 21, 22

If we stay on our trajectory, the QBs won't worry about competition and won't see 1-2 years as a starter as a terrible thing. We will finally, for the first time in a long time, have the ability to groom quarterbacks rather than pitch them into shark infested waters.

Edit: And if any of these guys are as good or better than advertised, we can afford a pro-defection after rs-jr year.

@rockytop_news: "We need to get Quinten Dormady some valuable repetitions early. He's earned those reps. He's a very talented young man." - Coach Jones

Take it up with CBJ if you don't like it.

"Wildly inconsistent"? 63% completion rate ain't wildly anything. Hope he's improved his ability to be accurate deep down the field outside the hashes.....those are about the only throws he's struggled with.

He didn't win anything with his arm. Opposing teams are going to make him beat us with his arm, I pray he can do it. If not don't waste any time and put Dormady in.

This is pretty accurate. When teams were smart and shut down his ability to run, or extend plays with his legs he struggled. When he has the ability to move he's pretty effective, but when forced to beat a team throwing the results are mixed.

BGSU - 1 1/2 quarters
W. Carolina - 1 1/2 quarters
Kentucky - 1 quarter
N. Texas - 1 1/2 quarters
Vandy - 1 quarter
---------------------------------
2015 total: 6 1/2 quarters of play, some of it "at speed," some just trash time (but even "trash time" is hugely valuable when you're new to the league)

[plus any time playing for a shaken up, bruised or otherwise injured Josh Dobbs]

Sounds about right.

Sounds about right.

Not according to Butch Jones....sounds like he'll play early and often Saturday. He may play more than any of us expect from what Coach Jones said tonight.

I kinda thought the same after the end of last season but got blasted for saying anything about it.

So is Dormady the CEO now? Is all of the Dobbs is CEO talk from Butch just fluff?
