Dooley's future at UT (merged)

I do too. It was his dream job. Although I think there's a good chance we'd be on probation if Kiff stayed.

I don't know about the probation... that investigation was cleared.

What I do know, though, is that Kiffin's teams had far, far more on-the-field character than any team Dooley has shown us--and that's supposed to be CDD's calling card.

Character means you don't let some other team come into your house and beat you into quitting in front of 100k+ of your most loyal fans.

Kiffin choked too, stop making him out to be what he is not. The Kiffin era in Tennessee sucked azz, period. Dooley at least will leave the next coach a lot more than that bozo left Dooley.

I spent $200 for tickets. $20 for parking. $35 on concessions. While I had a great time in Knoxville, and it was a lot I fun seeing my friends, I won't be shelling out that much cash to go to any more games until UT proves that it can be win against a relevant opponent. Its just too much to pay to have your heart ripped out time and time again.

Love my Vols, but I'm not spending the money again until the product on the field warrants it. And until Dooley was hired I had season tickets for years and years. I literally know two people who have season tickets now.

Kiff had teams quit too. The VT play before the half was beyond belief. That's part of a coach growing up. I don't think Kiff will ever be a great coach. I don't think CDD will either.

I talking about what I think will happen not what should happen.
I think CDD wins 8 this year and gets one More.

TIFWIW

Agree. Stanford owns SC. And remember this was suppose to be their year for a NC. Whatever, its one game. Am I disappointed sure, if he goes 2-6 in the SEC then we have an issue but his and the other coaches contracts almost dictates he stays another year.

This is just false. The economy sucks and it is because of DECADES of bad policies. Blaming Bush or blaming Obama is just stupid.

Back to the discussion, Dooley let us down tonight and the idea of him being the right coach is getting grimmer by the game he coaches...

He didn't say that he was blaming Bush or Obama. He said that Obama is blaming Bush for the bad economy, even though he's been in for nearly 4 years and it's gotten progressively worse. Back to the discussion indeed.

none of this changes the fact dooley can't coach.

So bad as a HFC that he can't keep a staff for a three year tour, and then we up being forced to do all these new contracts for another staff. It's like an addiction. At some point, we just have to quit.

This might be true, but this was part of the stink of UT being strapped for cash. Having to pay for coaches still on the books. See Fulmer and Pearl and Raleigh.

Dooley has to go period. After comming to Neyland last night watching its odvious he is out of his league. Don't get me wrong I like the guy and wish he was the answer but he's not. Even people out of the SEC think he's not going to be able to do it. Said that people on the outside looking in even know what needs to be done. Go vols
