Excuse me, but how have we become Kentucky? I never said anything about the program at UT. I was talking about evaluating coaches in general.
Do you lack efficient comprehension skills?
The only evaluation of coaches is win/loss record.
Last time I checked there's still a scoreboard at all games.
Programs that aspire to win championships don't talk about moral victories or 'other' factors. The others that can't win championships do those things (i.e. Kentucky).

That's dumb. Just plain dumb. There are plenty of coaches that started with bad records, but have since become known as top-notch. Just another close minded individual who judges a book by its cover. ADs do not do this, they take everything into account. Sad state of individuals in America.
Here's a question for VN to think about. Would anyone who is a vol fan be willing to accept 6-7 years of bad to mediocre football (i.e. rebuilding process) for 15-20 years of elite winning and championship clubs? I think that is what VOLCLASSOF2014 is trying to imply will happen at UT if CDD is given enough time to do his thing. I personally think if this is the case it would last a little longer than stated above. I guess i would be one of those whose willing to suffer for a while, as long as its done the right way. Which is what i think CDD is doing. :hi:
When Hart finally gets around to hiring a real coach who comes in here and starts winnning, all of these irational Dooley supporters will be saying that Dooley would have had the same success if he had been allowed to stay.
These people believe that it is all about recruting--not that Dooley has been an above average recruiter, because he hasn't-- when really recruiting is only 1/3 to 1/2 of the equation.
I said nothing negative until the Florida game. He has recruited at a decent level but not as good as the coaches he has to beat. He definitely has not coached as well as the coaches he has to beat. I hoped against logic he would be the guy but that has been about as fruitful as hoping the diamond in the rough recruits are better than the 4 and 5 star talent our rivals reel in.
Again it was just something for VN to think about. Secondly, I agree he needs to win against someone who is the real deal, not sure Miss St. counts either. I wasn't saying he is the messiah, just that i think he is trying to do things the right way ( actually build the program) which is what i prefer.:twocents:that is a nice theory but I don't see any evidence to support such a claim. Maybe he needs to win at least one major game before we start proclaiming he is creating a 15-20 football dynasty
smh
Contradictory statements at best man. Either Dooley has similar talent levels and can't coach or others have better talent and Dooley can't recruit. I'm decidedly with the show me something now crowd, but at this point it looks like people are making as many excuses to hate Dooley as they are for his performance.
I am saying he can't recruit good enough to overcome his coaching deficiencies. It is obvious we are spinning our wheels.
