The problem is you've got a former NFL player dangling $ 1 mil in front of a QB to play at his alma mater. That is not an endorsement. That is basically pay to play. This is the huge problem with the rule as it is. Endorsement money should be coming from a legit business

I think Mose has a point that college football players are more and more seeing this whole gig as a business where loyalty means less and the big question is “where can I maximize my income and value?” I don’t see a good end to this.

Kind of how I viewed it as well. I wouldn’t think Hooker would jump but we’re about to see a day where coaches have to rerecruit every year to retain their own players.

Hooker came in as a backup. Got the nod and was embraced by the fanbase and the staff. He’s not going anywhere.

I would think that Hooker understands that he’s currently in the best offensive system for his type of skills. Am I wrong?
