Disney +

Watched Peter Pan & Wendy last night with the kids. It was pretty good as far as live action remakes go. They made some pretty sweeping changes to the story.

The kids really enjoyed it.

Some are. It’s pointed out and completely dismissed as no big deal.

The big change is the Peter and Hook dynamic.
Peter is, and always was the bad guy. Kidnapping kids with the help of the evil Tinkerbell. Captain Hook is actually the good guy, despite the movies trying to tell otherwise, he was trying to kill Peter for kidnapping 👀👀.

The difference is that content is owned by Disney. They're taking their own content off of their own platform because the shows were so bad

Not exactly.

HBO did the same thing when they restructured. Netflix pulled over 80 original films and shows last year.

They have to pay royalties out even in the content they create. That is part of what is hurting the profitability of the streaming market. (Also part of impetus behind the the writers strike).

Disney actually put it off longer than the rest.
