They need to put a few idiots in jail for doing this to get the point across. I can understand a lot of idiotic behavior but this is unacceptable.

You're in for a lifetime of disappointment if you allow the idiocy of a few to ruin it for you. Most of our fans are good it's just the actions of the few that reflect poorly on the fanbase as a whole.

In the mid 90's as a young teen, I sat close to the student section during an Alabama game. They threw bottles at Bama and our band. After the game, there was a mob trying to flip over cars with Bama flags or stickers. In 92, the entire stadium threw stuff at the FL bench.

Just the way it is. Nothing new. I'm glad they are going to the games.

The saddest part is that there isn't a one of those bottle chuckers that has the seeds to stand face-to-face to a player on the opposing team and say or do anything.

There's just way too many people in the world who have never had a good butt kicking.

I don't agree with what happened. As I witnessed the player get hit Satuday night, he didn't act any better.

He showed less class by picking up the chair and acting if he was going to hurl it into the stands.

At that point, i really wish the student section would of went on a rant and calling his bluff.

It is unacceptable BUT if you have been to a few games through the years I am sure you are not shocked. I would be shocked if you were shocked that some water bottles were thrown during a night game.

Now I was shocked that the stadium was empty with 5 or 6 minutes to go in the game. That is likewise, unacceptable.

I sat in the student section from about '97-2001 and never saw bottles thrown onto the field

25 years ago it would have been glass bottles. They should be glad the liquor business practices recycling

The 92 game was bad. Iirc, they decided to move the student section after that game.

It was, however, revenge for the 1991 Florida game in Gainesville. Their student section was so bad in that game it made national headlines.

While I hesitate to paint an entire generation with the same brush, manners,sportsmanship and decorum do seem to have deteriorated in stadiums all over.

Time for security or police presence in the student section.
It is embarrassing enough losing all the time without this kind of hoodlum behavior.
Tennessee is at an all time low in more ways than one.
