Did Tee Really start this ?

Your coach talk makes me think maybe look outside the envelope. Maybe your Vollers should get a head coach from the CFL. Like TigerCats' Orlondo Steinaur or Roughriders Craig Dickenson? Sometimes a different look, a way of thinking, and being new helps to win more games. But I still don't know what I am talking about since I am still new to American football. My ideas might be strange or crazy, maybe both.
I like the fresh perspective, but don’t agree. Nevertheless, welcome aboard. 👊🏼

I would hate for them to give anyone preferential treatment in a coaching search simply because of their race...whether they be black, white, blue etc. I hate that concept.

Personally, I wanted Mel Tucker when Fulmer went with Pruitt and I felt he was the more qualified candidate. I don’t look at it like we are checking off a box and hiring a guy just because he is black. Given Tee’s history and experience; he is qualified to be a head coach somewhere. It is hard to look and see no black head coaches in a conference that is made up of predominately black players. There are plenty of black assistants out there that are deserving of the chance.

I don't refer to myself as loservol on here because I'm a nice guy. We constantly attack and criticize Pruitt. Should Tee be entitled to any less hostility from a frustrated fanbase?

I just think basic human decency should require us to not take shots at someone‘s intelligence, especially based on the Wonderlic. Football IQ? That’s a different animal altogether, but someone’s IQ score? It’s a little below the belt imo

While agree with you, Tennessee should not be the place where people get their “first opportunity “ to be a head coach. It’s a HUGE gamble. One that can not be financially allowed to continue. We have a whole generation of people who like here and couldn’t care less about Tennessee because they have never seen a winner here.

What established head coach would want to come here?? We've been down this road before. As good as Peyton was, he could never beat Florida. A good head coach will listen to his position coaches and with their help, make the best decisions. Most of you guys already know what opinions are like. Everyone has one. Go Vols!
This ranks among the most worn out, cherry picking stat statements of VolNation history. Every time it’s posted, an angel loses its wings.

Tee coached wide receivers. I don't think our wide receivers got much separation all season. Is he head coaching material? I really don't think so.
I think if the Pruitt ship sinks, all the rats need to go down with the ship. I'm not impressed with player development anywhere on this team.

Makes you feel any better, not a very intelligent man myself. So I'm not looking down on him. Tee has had more success in life than I will ever get the opportunity to experience. I just know it is going to take a very special football strategist hire to match wits with Sabin and Mullen.

If Tee was really not going to meetings, that's not the kind of leadership UT needs. That's ridiculous and extremely childish. He should be fired if it's true and I'm on Tee's side over Pruitt. But we can't have that kind of stuff going on from someone in a leadership role.

If Tee is doing this, it's a coup. I'm all for Pruitt being replaced, more than the next person. Trust me. But, someone willing to strike up a coup is not the person we need in charge. Tee has been known to be kind of a cry baby when he doesn't get his way. So, I wouldn't be surprised. I can't imagine him not being fired if true....

Please lay out Tee's resume and how that qualifies him for a head coach position at ANY college level, nonetheless an SEC team. Tee hasn't even done a good job coaching the wide receivers at UT. I disagree that he's qualified for a head coaching position at any level in college. However, if a team like South Alabama State wanted to take a flyer on a coach that is completely unproven at even a coordinator level, so be it. Even Vanderbilt doesn't do that at the SEC level.

He’s qualified to be a hs jv coach. USC took his playcalling duties away from him. He’s not the answer

Pruitt needs Fulmer and Tee gone. I bet his results would be slightly better.

Bieniemy is going to be an incredibly hot commodity in coaching circles. Unlike Tee, he has an established history of extremely high production as an offensive coordinator (and in the NFL). While it obviously helps to have Mahomes at QB, I think that he is a very creative coach that has a high probability of success at the next level.

I have said this for a month, unless they fire Pruitt for misconduct now and get out of his payout, they will fire Pruitt at first big bumble next season early and hang the interim tag on Tee as his tryout. It would give Tee his chance, allows the University to save money, and give Tennessee the option to get someone new if Tee doesn't workout in 2022.

I was a big fan of Tee when he lead us to the National Championship but with that being said there is NO WAY he is qualified to be a Head Coach at UT. We need to get over the idea that since someone played at UT they would make a great coach, it just does not work that way.

Look at your top 20 teams in the last 5-10 years and tell me how many of them are being coached by one of there ex players and those that have how have they done. Look at Scott Frost and Jim Harbaugh, good coaches in their previous jobs but they go back and the pressure is huge to win and extremely hard to live up to the expectations placed on them, plus any status they had as a player more times than not quickly fades away..... Peyton would be run out on a rail if he didn't win and we all know that's true.

Hire a qualified coach, regardless of the color of his skin.
