Today was quit a roller coaster ride without a doubt. Before I followed this site or any others, I remember a day I believe in the early 2000's where an internet rumor ran rough shot about Fulmer resigning. All sorts of stories were out there about PF. Anybody that followed online that day, share with us what it was like that day and if it was anything like today.

Wow you guys are making me feel old. Surely there are some oldtimers here that remember that day. There were crazy things out there. Disturbing things were rumored. Oldtimers tell me what happened that day?

nothing was as viral as it is today... that was before Twitter, Facebook etc. Today's realtime news, non news, rumors, lies, etc. nothing compares....

I am sure its spreads much easier today. My vague memory is that the AD announced in the morning a press conference that caught every body by surprise and in a matter of hours PF had impregnated a student in the football office. Obviously that wasn't true but I was just hoping somebody here would know exactly what happened that day.

I was online before most of you were born. The 90's were the glory days of the internet, it was young, wild and free, it was back before the government was involved and most people had enough sense not to put their real name on the interwebs.

It seems like I remember the fulmer rumor.

Napster was the sh**...except it took like 2 hrs to download a song with a dial up modem.

I loved Napster. That was back when you didn't have to worry about viruses. All you had to worry about was Lars Ulrich dropping a dime on your ass.

That's a start. My curiosity is getting the best of me. Looks like I am the only one though.

Posters on here are always younger than you expect. I still feel like a spring chicken.

I'm 23, but....

I'm married, have a degree, two babies, and I am an Edward Jones financial advisor that runs my own business and employs a secretary...

that was a humblebrag - humble.:)

Ahh, those were the classic days of the Internet.

A little after the Netscape Navigator days, but good none the less.
