Yeah. He does. UT gave him a scholarship and a chance. He's using the portal rule to leave. That's fine. He doesn't "owe" UT not to do that. But he DOES owe them not to screw the program and "his mates" over.No he doesnt owe UT a thing.... He stuck here after Pruitt for the year.
Proof? It was an open competition in the spring. Heupel wanted 4 QB's and lost Salter. He wanted a more competitive room with 4 QB's.They never had serious intention to play Bailey.
The best QB has proven to have already been in the room... and it just as easily could have been Bailey had he earned it by being the best passer and decision maker. That's why they went out and hot Milton.
Based on? They obviously like Hooker well enough to stick him in when Milton got hurt then stay with him. They recruited Maurer and liked his athletic ability. They "liked" Bailey enough to give him an equal share of the #1 reps through spring to let him earn the job if he could. They had 3 qbs and didn't like any of them.
Who said I was? You are evading by trying to make this about me. I proposed a possibility. So far you guys are convincing me it is the most likely possibility by NOT giving a better alternative. You wanna be pissed off ? Be pissed we wasted a spot on Milton.
I have no qualms with him leaving. That's his privilege under the rules. In 6 weeks, there will be a whole bunch of QB's out in the portal as possible replacements.
The question you don't want to face is why now instead of at the end of the semester when his "mates" can take advantage of the new portal replacement rule?
