Destiny

So is this another 40$ paywall download? Does it also greatly handicap the game for users who don't buy the new paywall download?

If I turned on my Xbox, could I play a strike or a raid? Have I lost all my weapons?

If yes to any of it, **** this game and it's developers. Ten year plan of dipping in your pockets.

Then don't buy it.

I've only played the TK for about an hour, but everything about it is pretty impressive. Like Rosen said, the story is really great.

You liking it BigDaddy? I haven't purchased it yet and not sure that I will. Lahey seems to enjoy it, though.

If I do pick it up at some point it would probably be just to play with you all.

Not going to, I sunk 100$ in to their beta.

I hated Destiny 1.0 too. It felt incomplete and the DLC was a money grab from Activision (which shouldn't be surprising). But the game is an MMO, and that's on par with MMOs - release an expansion once a year, reset a lot of things, make old weapons and gear irrelevant, etc. But I agree that the previous "expansions" were a terrible PR move, considering much of the content was on the original disc you already paid for. It seems like TK is what the original Destiny should have been. Hopefully they won't keep up the shady tactics.

It's great. My complaint is not enough time as well.

Old strikes are fun again. So much stuff to do. Prob 20+ hours in and still a boatload of stuff to do.

And I just got my first 2.0 exotic, the alpha lupi chest for titans.

I have played an hour. Hoping to get more time this weekend.

Get it. It's so much better than the first and there is a ton to do. The download will take like 7 hrs.

Well.....bye

If you feel the first year of that game wasn't a complete sham, I don't know what to tell you.

It was literally void of anything resembling a story and became an unbearable grind fest. If they've listened to the people who are playing their game and upped the ante then good for you guys but it's easy to feel ripped off by what they tried to sell as DLC and an overall game.

I think it's utter bull**** to take playing privileges away from players who have paid so much for the game. I mean, I've sunk 100$ in to this game and can't play a nightfall?

Cmon.

Well, after about a week I was able to play a nightfall. Not that big a deal. It's a MMO. What did you expect. Everyone knew it was going to be a grind. But hey, you hate Bungie so I get it.

I love the Taken King, as in previous post by others, a lot to do...
But some of the Quest are very hard by yourself, it's better with a Fire-team...
My problem is I don't pay attention to my Quest.
My light level is only 260 as of now, been running my Hunter and I love the new Sub-class.
I still haven't started my Titan or Warlock...This is a grind and I like it....
I do like that you can keep getting legendary coins up to 200, spend them and keep getting more. No more 200 and that's it for a week. Get all you want, just have to spend them.
I also like the interactive areas where your fire-tem can help another fore-team in certain areas....

If you were pissed off about Destiny, then why did you spend the additional $40 for the two expansions?

There were issues on day 1. Mine should have downloaded while I was at work (Xbox One instant on). It did not, then I tried when I got home and it kept starting and stopping.

i gotcha. i downloaded on day one, but it was on ps4 and i just did it, it was not on the auto download.

i really don't feel too slighted by the destiny year one deal. i only had about $70 in all of it, but if i had $100 in it that would have been fine as well. i feel like i got $100 out of it. hell, i spend $60 or more on a day of golf sometimes, so it's all good. not that i have a boatload of cash, but having fun and doing what you like to do doesn't come cheap these days in a lot of cases.

if i had a regular team i ran with, i would have gotten more out of it. all my friends are still attached to cod.

It just seems ridiculous that I can't play certain aspects of the game now because I refuse to keep handing them money, they're taking away content that I've already paid for.

Sort of. Although, that's end game for top tier players. You ain't buying new stuff, you ain't top tier anymore.

No biggie. If you think Taken King is anything like the first 2 expansion in terms of content then I can see you being skeptical. It's much more robust and grand than the first 2 expansions. It's glorious if you like the Destiny universe and game type.
