This might be him. Not sure, but it's pretty much the strategy we followed. Pick off enemies from distance, hide under the ramp for Archon Priest. Level 28 was no problem.

Man, without the ramp, my group would have never gotten through the Priest on Nightfall.

We were close on this weeks Nightfall. In the servitor's room, there's a room to the left. From what I now understand, that room is fairly safe unless you go back and touch the staircase. Someone in our group went about 3 stairs down dodging something. That was enough for a Captain and some others to come up the stairs. If they touch you it's death. We didn't see him. D'OH.

I think one more try and we'll have it.

The middle room with the 3 waves is fairly easy if you hang out in the train car room and just snipe. Just takes awhile.

I got the Icrebreaker last weekend. Enjoying it quite a bit. Great weapon and a cool sound when you fire it.

Just picked this up a couple nights ago, haven't quite figured out what's going on yet. Up to level 4. I assume things will become clearer on what all to do as you progress.

I saw on YouTube that there's a spot where you can walk out to the left over the water and nothing can get you. I can't find the video, though.

I'm worried about how they're going to handle things when they release DLC. Are they going to bump up the level cap but leave the light level bonus intact? So we'll all start at level 20 with so much light and then we can level our base level up? If you start the new DLC story at light level 28, are you going to be way overpowered?

Will they introduce new lines of armor that make everything you've worked to get to that point almost immediately obsolete? Or will they just have new weapons and armor that are different, but not necessarily better? At some point, either each expansion you will work to collect stuff that becomes worthless later on, or you will face the law of diminishing returns, where you still like your old armor and you're sick of grinding for the occasional different piece that doesn't really help all that much.

lol I love this. Destiny's PvP loot system makes absolutely no sense. It is seemingly completely random and confuses the hell out of me.

Xur had it last weekend.

I will say the last couple of days I've gotten a few legendary items in the random dice roll after the strike on the lvl24 strike playlist. I still haven't had a legendary drop from an enemy since the patch that fixed the cryptarch.

I've never had anything above a blue drop from any mission or crucible match. It's really frustrating to see other people get exotics.

Seems like that first hotfix a few weeks ago that addressed the loot cave really nerfed the legendary drops. I haven't seen a purple engram drop from an enemy (PvP or PvE) since that update. Prior to that I would get a legendary engram probably twice a week. But they pretty much all turned into rare items.

Woo hoo! Got level 2 in my faction and now I'm outfitted with 3/4 legendary armors. Also, I have enough coins to get an exotic tomorrow. But if it's not something I really want, I'll probably save them for next week.

The legendaries put me up over level 26, and if I can upgrade them a little I should be 27. If I had unlimited ascendant materials, I could probably be 28 this weekend, but I can't get that many by then.

Weapons are now my weak spot. I still have all blue weapons, and they are starting to suck at this point. I need an exotic or at least some legendaries.

Yeah, the lack of purple engrams is really frustrating. I was hoping once I got to a higher level that purple engrams would be a more common drop. I still have only seen one out in the wild, and it was a random drop before the patch that turned into a garbage blue armor piece that I broke down.

Xur has sweet Titan chest armor. 2nd grenade. If you have a bunch of motes of light, buy an engram or two. Might end up getting it and saving your coins.

I'm tempted by the chest armor. I already have the other exotic Titan chest armor from Xur maxed out, but the 2 grenades and more heavy ammo sounds good.

But the exotic rocket launcher he's selling looks sweet to. I can do the weekly heroic tomm, get 9 strange coin, and have enough to buy both. But I've been holding out for the exotic auto rifle.

Well, never thought I'd ever do the Vault of the Glass....but I hooked up with a great team through destinylfg.com. 2 of the guys were good leaders and everyone but me had been through it a few times.

We got it done in just under 2 hours. It's pretty cool.

I got a ton of shards and energy along with a rocket launcher.

I'm sure I'll do it again next week.

I need to get my guardian to that level so I can do the VoG. I am only at 24.

What level are you? I'm a few XP away from 27 and I'm thinking of trying it today if I hit 27.

I'll be on in about an hour for a bit if anyone else is.

I got the chest piece. It's pretty nice. Extra special, heavy and grenade ammo.

After nearly 2 weeks I FINALLY got to level 26! Son of a *****! The game is fun but damn if it doesn't make you work for it past level 20.

I am 27 currently. 28 if I spend some shards but haven't done that.

VoG isn't necessarily extremely hard, but there are parts that are just different from what you're used to. If you have a some guys that know what's going on and can direct folks or even explain the strat they using, it's not too bad.

I can't imagine the first groups that went through it and had to figure out everything. There's several things in there that are mechanics you haven't seen before, but I think that's what makes it cool. It's unique.

That was fun taking on the nightfall strike. That was my first time. Got my first legendary weapon out of it, and it's a sniper rifle, something that I actually want.

I definitely want to try to take on the Vaulf of Glass raid some time that I have 2+ hours to devote lol. It will be probably a Friday afternoon.

Can't wait to try out my new rifle! Go Vols!

I'm glad you were OK with it taking an hour. We only had a couple close calls. All in all a good run for a 2 person team.

Yes it was! It took a long time. Part of that is my fault, because I didn't have any legendary weapons at the time. Also, I had to take several timeouts to order a pizza and wait for my ammo synthesis to recharge, because I kept running out of ammo.

I definitely want to run it again this week after the Tuesday reset. I got my legendary boots, so I'm all legendaries and exotics now. I've just got to level them up!

I would also like to try the Vault of Glass some time.

Webb, we can take on the heroic again this week. If you can get up another level, we'll try it on level 26 this time.

Sounds good, thanks for helping me get to 25 yesterday. I played for a few hours last night. I am addicted to this game now
