Destiny

the black hammer is broken, it doesnt even work once you get hive disruptor so it will never do the damage that ice breaker does

How's it broken?

Nevermind. Just read up on it. Guess I never really noticed. Either way. I like running with it just as much as ice breaker because it opens an exotic slot.

Played some skirmish today, pretty fun game type. Pocket infinity is unfair in crucible.

hopefully they fix it, because I really like the idea of the gun. They removed the hive disruptor for now but sometimes the weapon still glitches and doesn't refill my ammo. I mostly use it during the crota instance on the Ogres which is really good when it works

I finally sold my copy. I just got burned out on it and to be honest, I still feel like this game isn't what Bungie advertised it to be. The mechanics are great and the graphics are nice to look at. However at the end of the day, I feel like this is a rather small game that is cleverly disguised to appear to be a large game, with the only replay value being that you grind to level your character up. All that would have been OK, if the game had a compelling story to follow but it doesn't. It's completely devoid of anything that resembles a cohesive story or memorable characters.

When Bungie first started hyping Destiny, I thought it was basically going to be an MMO first person shooter with vast worlds to explore, weapons, armor, abilities to discover, interesting characters to meet, and quests to go on. Basically I thought this game was going to be an FPS Elder Scrolls game in space that you play along side others. However that's not at all what this game is. I held out to see if the DLC would significantly add anything to the game but unfortunately the expansions are disappointing. I guess shame on me for being misled into thinking this game was something that it's not.

I sold mine a few weeks back. I did put a ton of time into it though, but it just got so boring really quick. If it was not for playing with friends constantly I would have ditched it after a week. Bungie definitely misled us on what this game was going to be IMO.

I'm still thoroughly enjoying it

I will say though I'm running out of things to do. I got to level 4 with Eris and that was a huge priority. At this point I'm just living one Tuesday at a time. I'm not going to make another character because I have Assassins Creed Unity and Dragon Age, so when I'm not playing destiny I'm playing one of those.

Is what it is I guess.

That's cool man and I can't say I didn't get my money's worth out of it. I put a LOT of hours into the game and I had fun while it lasted but after I while I just realized my only 2 motivations for playing were to a.) grind to level up and b.) it served as a vehicle to get online and bull**** with my buddies. After a while I just felt like those weren't good enough reasons to keep on playing the game.

I still like the game but I am glad I've cut back a bunch now. I'll still do nightfall on a char or two each week and the raids but no more 3 hrs a night a week.

I feel like I have just about everything done now. I know Hard Mode next week will motivate me again but after a week or two, it prolly won't be played much til HoW.

I just like playing PvE with friends a lot. I like bs'ing and I like fact I know most everything. I hate figuring out new games and all the intricacies.

I don't disagree, the content is lacking, the story missions are non compelling for the most part though the intrigue of what they "don't tell us" is pretty interesting. I think when its all said and done and all expansions have been released we will see a very different game than what we are playing right now.

And when that happens, 15 or so DLC expansions from now, I'll pick up a pack of all 15 for $30 or so and be at the newest level cap in 2 weeks.

I just don't see the use in putting in all this time in the grind to get the newest set of weapons that will be obsolete next DLC. Especially when you can pick it up and get the newest set of armor for purchase and be at the level to do the latest raid within a couple days.

I have no interest in spending a total of 150.00 -200.00 just to get the full experience, which should have been included in the full game in the first place. Expansion Packs and DLC are fine if it's something that truly adds to the experience. However there's a difference between that and purposely witholding content just to milk more money out people. The first DLC for Destiny was already on the disk! You basically paid to unlock it.

I hate Destiny's servers. I've had my session end 4 times tonight because it "lost connection", even though my internet connection is fine.

All 4 times I was almost done with the mission too.

Finally received an exotic weapon bounty last night, with the help of a friend I was able to knock out the Thorn bounty in just a few hours.

Finally got one of the weapons I have been wanting.

It helps if you have Atheon's Epilogue or at least a void special/heavy weapon combo. I did the crucible portion with a void fusion rifle back when I was like level 23. It was the only void weapon I had. Then I had to wait a couple weeks till I was level 26 to run through Xyor the Unwed.

Took me forever to get through the crucible part.

If you like handcannons it's a beast. The lingering damage will kill most enemies(excluding wiz/knights in nightfall for example) with one bullet regardless of where you hit them. And then factor in the bullet will penetrate through multiple enemies.

Yeah I had Atheon's plus Truth. Wasn't so bad.

Obsidian mind today! Nova bomb after nova bomb. If you kill 8 at once it recharges super immediately. Voidwalker will be making a comeback. Will be a requirement in hard mode prob. Orbs we create can chain supers for others. Should be op in first and last sections of raid. Getting 2 more icebreakers today

jeffjim.. I'll give the homies a heads up about 23rd

Hey StoVol. They were discussing the dog fart conversation in the RF today and I realized I hadn't seen you post over there in a while. Just wanted to make sure you were alright and tell you to pop into the RF sometime. Hope all is well.

my man, i see you all and check the forum regularly, been consumed by work and this stupid game here lately... i backed off commenting there due to the devolution of every thread into a pissing contest, i finally realized what i was there for.. recruiting news.. not to fix every leb or bruinvol on the internet, i laughed at something you posted the other day, wanted to respond, but thought better of it, thinking all buddies would weigh in and start asking where ive been.. kmac has me super excited for next year!

Don't be jealous. We got StoVol within the stupid Destiny universe and we aren't going to let him go for awhile. Hopefully he sticks with us through the March expansion.
