I wonder if it's possible to do that without glide. Like triple-jump maybe.

Although to be honest I haven't tried to jump or bounce in a while. I use blade dancer which has several methods of going invisible. Go invisible, run to the light, stand on the opposite side of the pillar from where the thrall are coming from, go invisible again, run to the next light, rinse, repeat.

No need waking up early tomorrow. Patch appears to be going out today.

EDIT 1: First chest is up for grabs again. Radiant materials only now.

EDIT 2: I was still able to jump up from the rock and solo part 1. Bridge section is a no go. However, they still despawn when sitting in the back room, so it may be real easy to get everyone over. Jumping across doesn't work on either side. When Ogres come out, if you aren't standing on the plates, they kill you.

Also, radiant materials are now in the public event drop table.

I still haven't done Crota this week, probably won't. I just think the raid sucks. It's not fun, this game is nothing more than an arms race right now. Playing just in hopes to get drops, which with my luck may never come.

Does anyone else have problems installing the updates on Xbox One? It keeps starting the download, gets about halfway through, then says there's an error. I've rebooted the machine and restarted the game, and it keeps doing it. The error code is "wasp" and I looked on their site, but it acts like there is some problem with my network and there isn't anything wrong with it. It's only Destiny, and it almost always has problems.

So freakin' annoying.

Happened to me before. I find it to be BS. Bungie's game has problems but the solution they suggest is that it's somehow my problem. Everything else worked fine except Destiny.

I just waited a couple days and tried again and it worked. If it never worked right, then I would have just said screw Destiny.

The game/servers/whatever has problems it seems about once every 2-3 weeks. Kicks everyone off, can't connect, DLC isn't recognized so you can't play.

Early on the easiest way is probably buy it from vanguard/crucible vendors at the tower. 75 marks for leg armor, gauntlets, or chest. Helmets are more expensive but I can't remember how much more offhand. 150 maybe? You can get 100 marks each for vanguard and crucible per week. If you can put in the time to get 100 marks each you can get leg armor from one, gauntlets from the other in one week. To buy the chest or helmet you need commendations which you get from ranking up your vanguard or crucible level.

Also I'd suggest the strike playlist on as high difficulty as you can manager. Back before December the max level was 24 and you could get drops occasionally. Now it's the Vanguard ROC strike that's level 26. Just get as many blue engrams as possible and once in a while they'll turn legendary. Running the ROC playlist you can usually get 2 engrams each time.

Vanguard/crucible marks and strikes. You'll get a ton of blues just by doing strikes, after so many you can level your cryptarch rank and receive a gift via the postmaster.

Once you hit 26 you can do VoG and get raid gear, although it's outdated it's legendary nonetheless.

You can do Eris bounty and get light level 33 gauntlets for completing it.

What I've done on my 2nd and 3rd characters was this, buy whatever exotic armor Xur was selling and then grind marks to buy the other gear, after that I just replace the vanguard gear with raid gear as I get it.

Yeah. If you've got the marks. Helmets require commendations. That gear is garbage though, it'll get you to the point where you can do raids and what not however.

About an hour later it worked, but yeah it's annoying how they claim it's on my end yet literally every other game, system, and WiFi enabled device I own are all working fine, except Destiny.

That's the point. Why bother buying level 28 or w/e legendaries and then running VoG when you can just spend those marks on level 31 legendaries and then run the new raid?

Don't you just get a commendation by leveling up the Vanguard rank? If so, that problem takes care of itself. I figured that was just a measure to keep people from using marks they'd saved up on the new armor right at the launch of the DLC.

Since they made the game a grind I had both my characters about 100 points from ranking up vanguard/crucible with a bunch of marks and just waited for the DLC to drop. That day I ranked them up so I got commendations. Also had 10 completed bounties waiting on each character to start upgrades.

VoG on hard...Atheon's Epilogue. Iva had like 4 of those. Just ascendent shards and energy.

Nightfall was garbage too.

We tried to cheese it last night, couldn't.
Did it the old fashion way to the boss......

Lamps....jump to the ledge or have someone go invisible and walk through it.

Bridge...easiest is start it, go to back of top room and wait for all to despawn. Then, if you have 4 people, 3 go to the plates and the 4th takes down the swordbearer, gets the sword, and crosses. 3 on the plates snipe across. Guy that crossed the bridge fights/hides/whatever and stays alive til both Ogres are killed. It can also be solo'ed but it a bit harder and takes timing or good jumping skills.

I did deathsingers and Crota last night with randoms. We started it with 5 of us. Wiped once on Crota b/c the sword guy didn't have his lvl 32 gear. He changed and we were done 5 min later. Both parts were cake if you know what you're doing and have a 32 running sword.
