Everyone was mostly relieved when Cutcliffe pulled his name out.
He pulled his name out because he wanted to bring his whole unimpressive Duke staff with him, and since we're still on the hook for most of Kiffin's staff, we didn't want to buy them out and then hire a bunch of new guys who are worse coaches.
Well, i guess i better make fun of the Vols head coach on this board while i can, before you all embrace him.
Seriously, he really looks more like a Badmitton team coach for Duke. He looks too nice. Does anyone know if this guy is actually aggressive in nature?[/QUOTE]

He's got that covered in Leavitt/Mangino fashion.

how much of the best staff that money could buy is kiffin taking to USC besides daddy and crazy ed?
Hamilton was abruptly put in a desperate situation. A desperation move of some kind was pretty much inevitable.
UT is NOT as desirable a job as some delusional TN fans like to think it is. Late 90's this was obviously a top 5 program. early this decade top 10 and we have been in a steady decline ever since. We can't even attract a military coach for God's sake. It's about time some UT fans get a reality check IMO.I am not so sure Kippy wants the job.
If this happens with Dooley, Hamilton needs to be fired. I know I have been defending him up to this point but I started remembering something Hamilton said during our last coaching search, that UT was not as a desirable job as one would think. I wonder if he is short selling this program?
You can't be serious? No way we'd pay LA Tech's coach 3.7 million.
