Deficit up 17%

Perfect. The left loves to criticize the right for being concerned about free loaders but as you say above you too are concerned about free loaders.

On McDad's point it's clear you'll only do "the right thing" if it is legally mandated and other have to do the right thing to. Your view of societal action appears to be whatever some have determined all have to do under penalty of law.
No democrat that I know has ever advocated for letting free loaders get a free ride. I think Bill Clinton did more than anyone to get free loaders off the government teat. Free loaders suck.
Your second statement is just mindless.

Not mindless at all. You tell us what doing the right thing is but refuse to do it unless required by law. Why not set a good example and pay your real "fair share TM" and perhaps others will follow.

Laws have very little impact on my personal moral code.

why don't you pay more in taxes than legally required?

I presume your total tax liability is lower after the last tax reform (which IIRC you didn't support) - why not at least pay enough extra to get you back to Obama era tax liability?

do you feel you are paying your fair share?

Question is;
Luth has stated repeatedly that his daughter (new graduate with engineering degree) has the same political beliefs as him.

Is she all for giving up her new found income?

Say she makes 100k. She has no qualms with just letting 70k go?
Bump for Luther.

Is your daughter down with AOC?

Don't know. I think publicly stating his belief is god enough

all words, no action.

instead he cuts the government out and goes direct via charity

actions speak volumes

Seems he (like you) should put his money where his mouth is and set an example for us. You know, exercise your moral compass without being legally compelled.

Does anyone posting here pay a tax percentage (what you paid ÷ what you made) that is the same as the rate of your tax bracket?

Because that would be stupid and insignificant.

I believe my income bracket is about right - probably a little high comparatively.

People more attention pay
to what you do
than what you say.
