Defending Fulmer

Would the haters take 152-52 over the next 15 - 16 years? My God someone answer.

You are asking the wrong question. If our program is in the same shape 4 years after Dooley took charge as it was after Phil's last 4, would you want him out?

BigPapaVol, you are my favorite poster. A simple question. So you would be happy with Dooley if his career mirrored CPF's. Thank you so much. I hope it does, we're in for another great ride. Guess I'd better prepare to defend CDD in 2027. What will I be then a Dooley-Fooley?, a Dooleyite? or just maybe a season ticket holder who loves Tennessee.

It's not going to. Dooley didn't have the great fortune of taking over a loaded roster(primarily because of krispy kreme). He also doesn't have the fortune of walking into a crappy sec. Instead he's coaching against who routinely kicked your hero's ass.

Well, if he's not going to, he needs to be fired now. What CPF did was not good enough, then CDD is gloomed to fail.

I've finally seen the light. Im gonna agree with you guys. What we need is a coach who will never lose a game, win a NC every year. Thats what we need. And as soon as the sorry SOB loses one game, he's out.

We'll get some VN T-shirts printed : " If we're not 14-0, the coach has got to go". How's is that.

And just another question : If CPF inherited all this talent, and the SEC was so crappy, why did it take us 47 years to win a NC?

If I were one to post those comical "You Mad!" pics, I would do so here.

Geez. The part about being "gloomed" was actually the least stupid portion.

I'm still holding out hope we can find that coach that'll win 100% of his games.

Exactly. Because that's the standard we held poor Phillip to. It was championships or bust for him. His 2 sec titles in 17 years was simply an unbelievable run.

I thought it was the Ham Bone Experiment that gibbs spoke of. That was what ruined CPF.

Question: Would we have had a better season in each of the following if Phil was still the HC?

2009 Y or N?
2010 Y or N?
2011 Y or N?

... just interested to know. I personally think 09 & 10 would have been better, but 11' I'm not sure.

There is absolutely no reason to think 2009 or 2010 would have been as good much less better with fulmer coaching.

Yep, thats what I said will make you happy. 50% is making everyone happy now, as long as CPF is gone. But at least we have the guts to play Buffalo this year.

We would still be mired in "trying like heck", and doing less with more, especially against the likes of Meyer / Muschamp, Saban, Miles, Spurrier, Petrino, and even Richt.

No...I'll take the Kiffin Debacle, and give Dooley 3 years to prove himself. While Fulmer might have garnered (a couple of) more wins over the last couple of years, the bottom line is that Fulmer was past his prime, and Dooley is ascending to his.

It's an easy call for a true Vol fan.

Go Vols.

You've posted nothing but garbage. Typical fulmerite.

I think he was explaining how we're gloomed to have a horrible schedule now that CPF is gone.
