Danny O"Brien dismissed from team

CBC, complete metabolic panel, blood gas, blood glucose, etc. All routine diagnostic blood tests that don't screen for illegal drugs. I'm not a doctor, but if there is an emergency medicine physician in the house, I'd love to hear what they have to say.

Trauma or altered mental status workups commonly include tox/drug screens.

It is their own business and they can do what ever they want and I'm not out to get anyone. I simply said it should be a felony if anyone is caught.

You sir are so ignorant. It should be a felony to smoke a joint and eat a bag of chips, but I can go buy a bottle of liquor almost 24/7 lol. Keep living in 1955. By the way no one goes to jail for weed anymore hate to break it to you. Probation and money thats all they want.

I would agree the real stuff is safer than the synthetic crap

I just paid for the VN-Upgrade version -- with a fee, it allows me to click a button for "Go-to-First-Relevant-Post" without having to read / scan through all of the irrelevant posts. I just clicked it for the first time, and quickly jumped to Post #178, thereby skipping Posts 2-177 -- and as you can see, this initial version of the Upgrade is not working properly at the moment.

My assumption as well.
The insurance company and AD would also be made aware, so all the "why did Butch" is pointless griping.

No. Guys. This isn't a workers comp issue. They aren't employees.

I have no clue what the basis of this is dismissal is, but if it was drug related and because of the injury, it is not unreasonable to assume he had some sort of physical evaluation where they drew blood to test. Blood tests are very simple and can tell a lot. If they thought in any way that he had a spinal injury, a blood test could rule out things like spinal fluid being leaked into the body. It really is probably that simple.

As for HIPPA secrecy, again...his primary care physician can see his medical records and I am guessing that the team doctor was his primary care physician in this case. Thus, the team found out about the tests results when the team doctor got his entire medical evaluation from the injury.

But again, this is all speculation as to what the dismissal was.

The timing of this reflects harshly on Butch. If Danny was found with cannabinoids in his system, I wish he would just tell us in this one case. Don't really know how to feel about this right now.

IF that is even the reason. Everybody is running with guessing it is that.

All I am hoping, as suddenly as it happened, is it has nothing to do with a female complaint. Please, don't let it be that. But if it is? How dumb would you have to be?

LOL. I toured in the music industry for years. I tried weed on a few occasions and didn't get hooked. Alcohol is the real gateway "drug"
This is literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I've been drinking for 20 years and never once experimented with anything other than weed. Alcohol has never wanted me to think "hey I'm been drunk, now it's time to go snort some coke". So stupid.

Thanks for your contributions the past 4 years. Definitely a tough guy and a VFL!! I wish you well in life OB 😢
