I'm assuming it would sort of be like workman's comp. If injured and taken to ER or Doctor, insurance company requires drug tests to be taken. I am assuming the universities insurance on the players is no different. It's standard protocol. If this is the case it's stupid of him. Also, they can't release that information due to the privacy laws. Violation of team rules will have to due, IF this is what the violation is.

Im thinking it was something like PEDs because for the life of me O'Brien has been killing his man on every team that we have played and has pretty much lived in the backfield and he was always just a slow guy who plugged the hole in the past w/ no penetration and plus if it was PEDs then Butch would have to dismiss him ASAP or possibly forfeit games once the drug test was known about.......as it would eventually get to the NCAA

Ask all the former NFL players who were "fine" what they would do if they could do it all over again. They don't need to listen to kids or men about medical issues. Its for their own personal health and future.

My assumption as well.
The insurance company and AD would also be made aware, so all the "why did Butch" is pointless griping.

CBC, complete metabolic panel, blood gas, blood glucose, etc. All routine diagnostic blood tests that don't screen for illegal drugs. I'm not a doctor, but if there is an emergency medicine physician in the house, I'd love to hear what they have to say.
