I was refraining from response as well until I read the above. Peer-reviewed medical literature does NOT agree with this (mis)information. It is clear that MJ has many potentially-serious psychiatric, neurochemical, and physical effects, some irreversible. It absolutely carries risk of addiction, with the classic properties of tolerance and withdrawal.

I will not reply to any rebuttals, as the real scientific evidence is clear and readily available.

I've seen first hand, with a large sample size many cases of real addiction.

I don't really care one way or the other on the legalization issue, but has there been an actual FDA-approved clinical trial conducted to satisfy the same requirements that all other drugs must undergo? I have not done much research in this, but, as I recall, there have been no true clinical trials conducted. I understand that there have been smaller studies with limited patients (and favorable results), but I would be interested in seeing the true clinical results. The FDA's bar to demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of pharmaceutical products is rather daunting and extremely expensive to achieve. Please don't respond with the typical what about alcohol or what about cigarettes argument as those products were on the market prior to many of the current regulations and, as such, were exempt from the pre-market testing.

For some reason, we always decide that it was weed.
It's the most common, so a likely suspect but no way it's the only cause, every time. Could have been something stronger or completely unrelated to any form of drug.
No sense in letting that slow down our conclusions however.

Hell he should have refused all treatment. Even he said he was fine on the field after he cleared up. It was all precautionary.

Was posted by news media that any related medical care relates to the injury will be provided by UT. In other words..CYOA.

why? He likely wouldn't have played against Bama anyone and he shouldn't based on the injury sustained. Things happen life kicks your butt sometimes. You move on and hopefully learn from it.
