I like when lapdog types and authority worshippers out themselves.

It's good to know which people are mindless and devoid of any contemplative thought. I wish I could tag them with a label, but in the end its unnecessary, just say something bad about an authority figure and they hop down from the lap and crawl around in the daylight for everyone to see.

They have the weakest will, and lowest sense of self. They doubt their own original thoughts as bad or dangerous, because someone in control once trained them that way.

The man co-opted the brand and made the program all about him. Then he took control of the media to a point that no one could question a thing about him, his system, or his decision.

Look no further than his name being on everything, picture on everything, and hell, even t-shirts featuring him sold at all of the official outlets. Then we have had the crazy amount of transfers of top-tier and contributing players out of the program with hardly a peep from anyone. Sure, people were asking questions but state media shut them down and out.

There was smoke rising over this program for years, but most everyone, including myself up to a year ago, looked the other way because we bleed Orange.

Just cowardly BS by the media. Hell it wouldn't surprise me if it were true but making a big deal of it now? Why? If Butch had won here these cowards would still have their heads buried in the sand.

If he had won, I think you might be right, many would be quiet and just happy to be winning. Until it all blew up and it always does, whether it be a year or twenty years - it always catches up.

No doubt, Williams catches 7 or 8 balls I believe in the season opener. After that impressive performance he rarely sees the field and never gets targeted??? Similar situation this season with Callaway and even Brandon Johnson. They have monster performances in one game and are rarely if ever targeted!! I'm no coach but seems to me you would try to continue to target players after they show they can have huge impact. Totally incompetent.

I just wish people on here would really care about UT sports and the university and THINK about what harm we are doing on here right now.

Butch is now gone and every coach we're trying to hire and every kid we're trying to recruit is now reading VN and everything else they can find about UT while they try to learn as much as they can about our school and sports programs.

Why would any really good coach want to come to UT knowing how much trash and BS is going to get thrown at him as soon as he makes a mistake?

Why would any good kid want to come play for our beloved Vols knowing that as soon as they make a mistake they'll be covered in BS that's thrown at them by so-called Vols fans?

Why would any parent encourage their kid to attend UT after reading all the hate and degradation their child would have to endure from VN members?

This is VN and we simply ARE Tennessee so try to grow up some, stop the hate and degradation and attempt to represent Tennessee in a respectful, proud manner that might help encourage a great Coach and recruiter to want to come work at UT and encourage good kids to come play for our Vols.

The Butch Jones era is over, dead and gone so we need to now try to do whatever we can to help reel in great coaches/recruiters and top talented kids to rebuild and try to WIN Championships once again.

I second that. I heard this morning that there are always three opinions on an event or subject. There's your opinion, my opinion, and the factual truth which usually lies somewhere in a very big middle. Jason Swain has his opinion which is very strong. Tony Basilio has his that is likewise strong. You have WMNL which lies far to the other side. I would like to see this dropped personally. Let's come together as fans and support the players who are there now and the coaches are here at least until the end of the year. Nobody should be ecstatic for players who felt like they had to leave early before their careers were over at UT and no one should be happy about having to fire yet another HC. Butch will be just fine with his golden parachute and several of these ex Vols have moved on in their life. Some of the assistants still coaching this team will be fine as they move on. Others are probably very anxious right now about their futures. The players who are practicing this week must be uneasy about their futures at UT. I was on the precipice of leaving this program as a fan after 49 years of being all Big Orange. Now, I'm cautiously optimistic that Tennessee can finally return to the program we as the long time fans remember it was and know it can be. I hope Neyland is crammed full of Vol fans against LSU Saturday. Moreover, win or lose, I hope the fans stay the whole game and give the leftover coaches and all the players the understanding that this program is bigger than one man or one team. As long as we believe the program is showing it wants to be what it should be, Vol fans will be the most loyal and enthusiastic fans in the nation for their team. No more surrender!! Fight Vols and Go Big Orange!!! :victory:

What would you call someone who doesnt stand up to immoral or criminal acts? And im not speaking specifically about the victims, as i understand there is a bit more complex dynamic there. Im talking about other adults, media members etc that know of wrong doing and do nothing. What is your word for people like that?
