Perhaps. Or maybe you look at all the players that left, coaches leaving for lateral positions, and VFLs being treated like crap, and logically determine the one common denominator is Butch.

Yeah and people trashed Tee for seeing right through Butch’s BS and telling him no thanks.

Well, ****. Kid chose to play for Butch at UT. Kid got a full scholarship offer. If Butch did something illegal, he needs to be held accountable for that. Kid has options to go else where it not play football. There are different styles of management, military and self policing are styles. I don’t have much empathy for whining. If kid was acting like a whiner, and Butch was not showing favoritism. Then I see no issue. Maybe the world would be better off if we didn’t act like a bunch of *****es!?

Clearly Butch's management style is awesome. That's why he still has all his original staff and he's been so successful

This type of thing always comes up when someone is fired or accused ..... so what if he made him write that.... maybe that was his way of telling him to gtfo. You think a football coach has never called a player a p****?

You sir seem to show a lack of maturity and knowledge. Let's start with the basics. He was the head coach. His job wasn't to manage people (ps you can't manage people only policies and metrics) his job was to LEAD. Yes, there are many different styles of leadership. On a basic level there are only 2 reasons to even begin siding with Jones on the Helms situation. One, he lacks the ability to perform (which is on Jones for putting him on the team). Second, he can perform but lacks the motivation to do so. In a very basic individual situation perhaps his approach would work. In a team building situation it is poison for all.

You should be forced to write it down too

And you seem as good as Butch at using alot of words to say nothing. Grown ups acting like junior high school girls gossiping. No coach in his right mind would coach here.

Crowder

Kendrick

Bowles

Helms

Hurd

Davis

6 different instances of Jones being reported as displaying questionable moral character that have all been out there for awhile.

Took a pot shot at Mays last week after the decommitment through the press.

Chose to bail on his seniors the last two games when he had the option to "own" his mistakes.

Jones won't get an outpouring of empathy from me.

Barnett

Maybin

Kamara

Dobbs

Coleman

Etc

If one of these guys pipes up I may listen. Otherwise who cares.

This thread is going to have more "I heard..." than the Gruden threads. Always entertaining to watch sources suddenly pop up

He has been fired , no need to trash and continue to kick him. Unless it is a NCAA investigation type situation

What I said was simple, and basic knowledge for anyone that studies/practices leadership. It boils down to this. The decision to degrade Helms in front of all did nothing for the team or the person. All it did was cement Jones in a bully position to quiet others from speaking out.
