Da Reds thread

The one game WC game is awesome but totally unfair.

Should be at least a 3 game set if they are going to do this, imo. Not bitter towards the pirates. They are playing better baseball and deserve to move on, but a 3 game series seems way more fair.

Well that's that. Reds backed into the end of the season. A lot of discussion on the hitting, but I believe they need to look at the starting pitching.

Question for reds fans, is Hanigan that much better defensively to warrant the start over Mesoraco last night? Seems like Mesoraco is one of your better batters against LHP

I'm an a's fan, but I would say yes. You need your best game caller and blocker these days. It's why were carrying Kurt Suzuki still.

Iirc, hanigan always catches cueto. Also, in dusty logic, hanigan was the starter the first game of the season, so he is the one who should start the most important game of the year. Same goes for ludwick. Dusty tends to ignore how much better mesoraco has been playing lately especially offensively and how much the pitchers have really enjoyed him behind the plate. But in the end it doesn't matter now.

Not that there is any question about it, but , nope, not buying. I stopped buying last season after the Tigers were in town. I can do my *****ing at home watching the TV.

They will have to make a couple of major off season moves to get the fans back in the numbers they had this season if they bring Baker back - which more than likely will. If Jacoby comes back with him they will lose even more fans.

There is a Santa Claus!!!! The sun is shining and there a beautiful glow surrounding GABP, at least in my mind.

Walt is not a Sabermetrics guy, so I doubt they go heavily that direction. But, they could use a does of it with the old school. The guy does not have to be an azz, but he does need to instill some discipline and healthy sense of expectations/accountability that has been missing.

Bryan Price seems to be getting a lot of the early buzz

His name is out there with other clubs as well. I think he came in second for the Marlins job previously. If he has a different approach to leading the team that makes them more passionate and committed to winning, to go with good game management, I will be all for it. He is a rock star pitching coach IMO.
