Da Reds thread

Where did I say there aren't ANY unwritten rules in baseball? If you're going to be a fool at least try to be somewhat accurate.

Many Reds fans don't like Dusty, most of us know he's an idiot, but he's our idiot. And he did the right thing here. He kept one of his best pitchers in the rotation; knowing that he could still make the All Star team. As you said, most managers switched up their rotation and didn't like it. Dusty, in this instance, made the correct move.

LaRussa made up a ridiculous excuse, a lie, why Cueto couldn't be on the team. It's as simple as that. He's a classless pile of crap.

And if you wanna talk clasless then your boy Cueto is at the top of the list. He ended another MLB players career in a chicken$**** kick to his head. Oh yes that's class.

And how many Cards players did TL pick? And how many Reds players did TL pick?
Those darn facts suck sometime.

You being sensitive is on you. I posted a factual statement and was attacked. I launched back (again with factual information). I guess that bugs you so do yourself a favor and don't read my posts.

Kinda like you getting sensitive over LaRussa being attacked ITT? If you don't like what we say here, then leave the thread.

Yep, those darn facts. Votto was voted in by the fans, Bruce and Chapman were voted in by the players. LaRussa picked ZERO. Those darn facts, shucks man.

I'ma start callin' you butter b/c you're on a roll today! :eek:lol:

While we're at it, b/c it's obvious you didn't know this until I brought it up, here are some more facts. I hope you can comprehend it.

Tony La Russa fires back at Dusty Baker for

"...during the offseason, there was an update to the policy for using "Sunday Pitchers" in the All-Star game in the new collective bargaining agreement. The rule now states that any pitcher who starts the Sunday immediately proceeding the All-Star game, if selected, will be allowed to pitch if he chooses to participate, but with a strict one inning limit (or a reasonable team-imposed pitch limit)."

La Russa ignored ‘Sunday Pitcher Rule’ | Cincinnati Reds

“Sunday Pitcher Rule.” It reads:

(ii) Sunday Pitcher Rule. Any starting pitcher elected or selected to the All-Star team who makes a start on the Sunday immediately preceding the All-Star Game (“Sunday Pitcher”) shall have the option to participate or not participate in the All-Star Game. If such starting pitcher elects to participate in the All-Star Game, he will not be permitted to pitch for more than one inning, and he may also inform his manager that he should be removed from the game if he reaches a certain pitch count (irrespective of whether he has completed one inning), provided such pitch count is reasonable. If a Sunday Pitcher who was originally named to the team elects not to participate in the All-Star Game, he will be replaced on the roster but treated in the same manner as other All-Stars who are excused from participation, and he will be encouraged to attend and be announced at the All-Star Game.

Anyone else really like Frazier? He's quickly becoming one of my favorites. He seems to come up with timely hits and RBIs.
I'm loving Frazier so far. Growing up in southern Indiana I've always been a big Rolen fan, but I think it's time for him to move on. I'm glad to see the Reds with so much young talent. They're built to win now and for the future.

No idea how many Cards he picked. That's not the point of our argument anyway. Stop trying to change the subject b/c you're wrong LOL.

I see your google works. I said several posts back I knew the CBA rule.
And while your laughing (and looking foolish) where did I say he picked any Reds? My point was he didn't pick anymore Cards than Reds. It shows he's showing no Bias towards the Reds IMO. Most Managers pick some from their own WS winning team and it's accepted. He didn't is exactly the point. Nice try though.

So you're saying Dusty is smarter than all the other managers. Ok, you're call.

According to what you said, yes. If other managers hate to mess up their rotation so their pitchers can make the AS game, and Dusty didn't mess his up knowing Cueto could still make the AS game then by your reasoning, Dusty made a good move. Thanks for making my point. :hi: :eek:lol:

Prior to that you said Dusty is an idiot for pitching Cueto on Sunday. Evidently he isn't, since he was aware of the new rule. LaRussa looks like the idiot in this case.

Ahh, of course you didn't say he picked any Cards. LOL

Hey man, I'm just pointing out facts to you since you seem to be so uninformed. Just trying to help ya out. Of course I used the internet. You think I'm going to find those rules anywhere else? I can't exactly post a newspaper article or the rules of MLB on a message board from a newspaper or book now, can I? Jeez dude, what era are you living in. :eek:lol:

Your reading comprehension skills are amongst the worst I've seen on this site. And trust me that's saying something.

When all else fails, tell them their reading comprehension skills are horrible. You sir, are pure gold. Thank you for a very entertaining day. :eek:lol:

LaRussa is a joke, you're a joke and I hope that one day I get to meet you across the middle! :hi:

Your idiot manager killed Cueto's chances by throwing him on Sunday.

So other teams who rearranged their rotation just did so for $hits and grins? It matters. Only Dusty the Dumba$$ doesn't realize that. Well and you.
Posted via VolNation Mobile

If you watched baseball enough you'd know it's one of the MANY unwritten rules of the game. Dusty is just such a dumba$$. Once again your idiot manager shows his lack of intelligence.

Didn't say wrong, but did say ridiculous. You come in to a Reds thread doing nothing but talking trash and trying to start fights. You believe you are the Peter Gammons or Buster Olney of VN. We all should accept your opinions as facts, and never disagree. I'm sure you actually do have a lot of knowledge about the sport, but you can show that without being a Dbag.

You being sensitive is on you. I posted a factual statement and was attacked. I launched back (again with factual information). I guess that bugs you so do yourself a favor and don't read my posts.

Your above quotes - NOT facts :eek:lol:

beef la russa is probably the least classy coach in baseball. i believe like many that he aquired steriods and gave them to his players like canseco said. that being said he is 100% the manager dusty ever thought about being. as long as dusty is in cincy the reds are never gonna win the NL. he is just horrible.

TL is very easy to dislike and I guarantee you he was in the majority of all managers giving roids to players. It was everywhere in MLB in Mid 70's thru 90's and early 2000's. Hell even the high and mighty BB writers knew and turned a blind eye.
