Got a phone call last night from a friend that stays in contact with the guy I considered my best friend for 15 years, up until a few years ago. That's a long story and stupid anyway.

For most of that 15 years me, him and his girlfriend of about 10 years were all close.

I just found out last night that about a year ago she left him a note that said she didn't want to be with him any longer, she loved him and take care.

Fast-forward to a couple of months ago. He found out from one of her daughters from a previous relationship that she had cancer really bad, had moved to Key West and died alone because she didn't want to burden anyone.

Dude has been hit hard with this. Alot more to it but I figured that's about all y'all would be interested in.

That's deep stuff right there.

Haven't called him yet, but going to. He's got alot going on.

Dam. The hurt is more now. I would hope that she would have told him. If it was me I would rather have known and taken care of her and loved her to the end but now he got hurt twice and missed out on time together. Awful.
