Judging from what I've seen from Crompton, if you think he's going to magically turn it around, you don't know ________ about successful offenses.

We have talent but what we have in talent we lack in a coaching staff, what is talent without proper coaching

We have some talent on the team for sure. HOWEVER, the quarterback position is one of if not THE most important positions to have a talented player. Crompton would be fine as a QB in the ACC, but in the SEC he's just not the caliber of player talent wise that is going to win us football games. He's making mistakes that he should have learned not to do in High School. We are in serious trouble with Crompton handling the ball for us every down...

also with that comment, I have to assume you're related to Coach Fulmer

I don't assume anything. What I know as fact however is that we have a brand new OC and we are only 3 games into the season.

Did you assume we were going to the BCS championship game? Is so, your a dumb :shaking2:

I agree with that. We need a new QB or a miracle. But we were in this position last year and it turned out OK. If we can, somehow, win against Aub., GA, and AL we would be sitting pretty. I have my doubts, but I'm still die hard and always look to next week.

I thought this "brand new" OC was a miracle worker in his former conference? And as far as being only 3 games into the season goes do you not realize that one of those games probably ended our whole post season game hopes?

All I expected was to not get thumped on National TV whenever we are on it. Also, I expected that when we have 20-30 recruits coming to a game not to get blown out by my biggest rivals. they failed me on both counts.

You might want to run SpellCheck before you go calling people dumb.

Well, the fans failed as well. How many recruits you think want to come to Neyland stadium to get boo'd???

Maybe we'll get some 2 stars if we're lucky.

If Crompton would fundamentally play a solid game, fans wouldn't have to boo. If Tennessee would compete, fans also wouldn't boo. It's not on the fans if the recruits don't sign. That's on the program. They should have brought the recruits in for Northern Illinois, not Florida. Yet another bad decision...:cray:

Crompton doesn't realize he's a quarterback, he thinks he's a fullback. You see, he's all about himself. Thats the problem.

JC, if you are reading this, don't mind these cry babies. You keep working hard and it will happen. These folks don't know :censored: when it comes to running an offense. Sadly, we have a bunch a whinning fans who they themselves couldn't throw a football 20 yards.

who are you- his mom??? BTW "it" aint going to happen. When I see him on the field i just want to say, DUHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Crompton underthowing the ball by 10 yards to a wide open reciever streaking down the sideline has nothing to do with learning a new offense.

In Cromptons post game interview when asked if the fans booing affects him, he said "the players play for themselves and their coaches. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks." Yep, the Vol nation is going to have a love affair with him. He needs a media relations class to go along with the "Idiots Guide to Playing Quarterback" book.

You can't take the effect and make it the cause, sorry.

All I'm saying is that booing has a negative effect on all components. It has a negative effect on the players, it has a negative effect on the recruits. It's all negative. It accomplishes nothing positive. Nothing.

Boooing is the only way for fans to be heard. Just like we cheer when good things happen, we have the right to show our displeasure. If you a recruit, you have to realize that when you play like crap, no matter at what school, you going to get boooed. If the fans aren't boooing when things go bad, then you have bigger problems as a program, because that means that no one cares. Boooing does suck, I agree, and I wish I didn't have to do it.
