90% of UT's players couldn't start at FLA or GA.
Easy on that comment man. We had more total yards than they had, and we have good players. Crompton does suck, but we have talent on this team. We shot ourselves in the foot again, blame it on the coaches or whomever, but we could compete with these guys with execution and better coaching,

The commentators summed it up. Tennessee made huge mistakes and Florida made small ones.

You can't beat a top 5 football team giving up touchdowns on special teams, turning the ball over inside the 20 and when your inside their 10 ready to score. It's football 101.

Our talent is down from the past, and the quality of coaching is being exposed for what it is.....piss-poor!

Execution and coaching is the entire game of football. The fact is we as Vol fans need to come to the realization that we have a middle of the road football team. (on the national level) On the SEC level(the best conference in the land), we are probably 5th or 6th best. The team we have now isn't going to win many SEC games. We need to pull Crompton and get the future guys some experience and take our lumps now so we can compete next year. This team stands zero chance of making a run in the SEC like they did last year. Sit Crompton now....

No I'm not kidding you. We have talent on this team. With a better coach, do you not think we could have won. Do you think the players on this team couldn't start on GA? Give me a break.

Well if Jonathan Crompton is reading this...

YOU STINK!!! :realmad:

JC, if you are reading this, don't mind these cry babies. You keep working hard and it will happen. These folks don't know :censored: when it comes to running an offense. Sadly, we have a bunch a whinning fans who they themselves couldn't throw a football 20 yards.

He (Crompton) is on the locker room show. He sounds not one bit depressed, defeated, or disgusted.

"We just have to stop shooting ourselves in the foot."

Durrrrr....

the way we've played, we haven't been shooting ourselves in the foot, we've put the gun in our mouth and blew our damn brains out

sorry, but when you're the starting QB at the University of Tennessee, you're suppose to be the opposite of what Crompton has been so far this year.

Aren't you assuming quite a bit?

We have talent but what we have in talent we lack in a coaching staff, what is talent without proper coaching

also with that comment, I have to assume you're related to Coach Fulmer

Our problems go way beyond Jonathan Crompton. There is no reason in trying to appoint one person as the scape goat.

If Stephens or Coleman were any better, one of them would have at least solidified himself as the clear cut #2.

We're better off with Gerald Jones at QB.

I disagree. This offense (other than the new OC and rule changes) is relatively the same. RB's are the same; OL returned a veteran group; receivers are the same. What's different?? QB.

The main problems I have with him:

Inability to consistently execute a handoff to the RB

Staring down receivers

Poor play clock management

Poor decision making in the passing game

Off target passing (not talking about when he's pressured, but regular throws that are behind receivers, too high, or in the ground),

taking on linebackers and defensive backs (it's a matter of time before he gets hurt no matter how tough he thinks he is)

I don't know him personally, but he appears cocky. He's not good enough to be cocky! In fact, he's just not good at all (at this level, of course. he could be a star at carson-newman).

Crompton has the physical tools and athletic ability to be a successful QB at a major D1 program, but doesn't have the mental capacity to lead this team to the SEC Championship everyone is demanding from Coach Fulmer.

Crompton is horrible! I don't think he has was it takes to be a QB at UT. We should move on to someone else, Stevens I believe, and see what he can do. But, we need our coaching staff to all be fired TONIGHT!
