Woman Who Fled Ukraine To Escape Horrors Of War Tragically Stabbed To Death At North Carolina Train Station
A young Ukrainian woman who fled to the United States seeking a better life has been identified as the victim of a merciless stabbing on Friday night.
Iryna Zarutska, 23, was found dead at 9.55pm on Friday at South End light rail station in North Carolina.
The woman had only recently moved to the US from Ukraine in an effort to escape the ongoing war with Russia.
She was 'hoping for a new beginning,' loved ones say.
A 34-year-old suspect, Decarlos Brown, was arrested shortly after police arrived on the scene.

BREAKING: Evidence connects Buford Pusser to wife's murder, authorities say - WBBJ TV
Authorities hold a press conference announcing new evidence in a cold case murder.www.wbbjtv.com
Authorities say the case file reveals inconsistences in Buford Pusser’s account of what happened the day Pauline was murdered.
TBI says evidence suggests Pauline was shot outside of the vehicle and later moved inside the vehicle. Evidence also suggests the gunshot wound Bufford received was self-inflicted.
It was said that if Buford was alive today, there would be probable cause to charge him in connection to the shooting.
We will have full coverage of these new developments in our evening shows tonight on WBBJ-7.
I've met people from McNairy County who had always suspected this may have been what happened.boy..that certainly kills the hero narrative

what is your take? I remember you were close to this area and story.
You have too good a memory sir , Lol . Yes I am close . In area and family / friends . Nurse and I have been talking about it today . I just want to choose my words carefully . Small towns , everybody knows everybody , friends , family etc . I can tell you that my grandmother always thought he did it , for one reason , it’s the only reason she ever gave and it’s a good one . Pauline never went or would never go out on a call with Buford to Guys ( Stateline ) it was too dangerous . That being said , I have one hang up , you would have to be a very dedicated individual to shoot yourseif twice in the face with any caliber but with a large bore ? All I know for a fact not rumor or lore or Hollywood legend is .. At that time ,from Corinth MS , to Guys Tn / The state line , to Selmer Tn, there were very few “ innocent “ people in any of the things that were going on regarding Buford , That’s the best way I can think of to describe , or sum up everything that went on then .boy..that certainly kills the hero narrative
