Sad. We go from inquiring about JG's health to another QB bashing thread. Quick question, how many of you guys coach D1 college football programs? Oh right, none of you. Neither JG nor KC deserve the crap you guys are throwing around. CJP will play the QB he thinks gives us the best chance to win. I'll trust his evaluation over all the armchair QBs on the board. You guys get ridiculous with your criticisms and believing you're better informed than the professionals.
SPOT ON. Babblers gonna babble.

Against Fla JG went out, fans wondered if he was concussed. After very little information from CJP , JG played the next week.
Same scenario in the bama game, JG played the next week.
Same scenario playing out in the Mizzou game. Will we see JG start the Vandy game.
Is he concussed, has he been concussed this season?

Be interesting to see what information comes out this week.

I think KC will play... JG just cannot take anymore hits, and Richmond continues to play touch football so no help coming. KC will be fine, get a week with the ones in practice should tighten things up. Played well at Stanford... and he has stats to prove it.
Um, he most definitely did not play well at Stanford or else he would still be at Stanford, his stats at Stanford are actually pitiful and he gets equal reps with the 1s, coach Pruitt has said as much already. So no, 36% with 2 int is exactly why he is the back up.

Its sad buddy but KC has more elusiveness than JG. Since KC has been playing cleanup I would'nt be so harsh on KC. Appears to be a great kid. JG does also. I just disagree with who is starting. A person never will know where we would be now with KC at QB but it is what it is..............................
If last night was any indication with more interceptions.

KC played almost the entire game and didn't get killed. Got hit bad one time or two. The kid didn't get hit more because he gets rid of the ball quicker and knows where he is going with it at snap. I am amazed at how slow JG is. He is definitely a pocket passer but when the pressure comes he just can't escape
So let me get this straight, you guys rail on jg for "staring" down receivers, but it's ok for chryst to make up his mind pre snap and throw it right to a defender? Is that another example of how chryst is superior in his reads?

Guarantano has taken a beating all season and I think Chryst should get the nod against Vanderbilt because Guarantano looked like he had a concussion after that first series today.

Start Chryst if you want to remove all doubt of a victory. Chryst is certainly better pre-snap, just doesn’t have the physical tools.

There were at least two times he should have held onto the ball. Say what you will, but JG doesn't make those two INT throws. KC also thrown into frying pan, and maybe rusty...he did some good things, but ball security...not so much.

He’ll be pulling disability pay if this o-line doesn’t improve...
I swear, if they just stood in front of the guys, it would have been better. I've seen better efforts in flag football. Maybe they should try red rover to buy a second or two...

I honestly don't get the hate for either of them. I pull for the one that has had the most experience all season which would be for JG. If he does out for any reason, then I pull for Chryst. I mean, how hard is that? Some of our fans are just full of PTSD because of 10 years of crappy football and are just wanting something, anything to give them a little hope.

I agree.

Both of them were brought into this situation, Jones and JG got to feel for JG because No telling what Jones told him....

Chryst --- Decent QB and knew what he was getting into and chose UTK to finish out...He knew his chances of starting before he got here and he has hung around and contributed significantly to the team if not on the field at least in practice.

Chryst maybe forced to step up next week and may succeed.

Again Our QBs are not to blame.....and evidently many think they are...until OL gets fixed you can talk about QB play all you wish but we haven't seen the real ability of either QB.

PM may not have succeeded under this environment......

Makes sense and I agree. The reason it gets difficult is the hate we hear for JG from some. Its crazy, every analyst talks about how good he is and will only get better. He loves Tenn and gives his all every play.
Yesterday when he went out there was many on here happy because they were sure Chryst was going to lead us to a victory. I wished he could have. The JG haters were making excuses whenever KC made an error such as it was always the receiver's fault for an interception. Ran wrong route, not KC's fault. Just crazy stuff like that causes the division.
I'm sqarely in JG's corner because I think he's the better QB but if for some reason he can not go next week, I will be pulling for Chryst. If for some reason that happens, those same haters will be selling us if Chryst had played all year we win 9 games..

There was not “many people” cheering and happy that JG got hurt and knocked out of the game. What a garbage statement.

If it would not change his status for red shirt I am all in... get a series or two early next week... then decide. He might light it up with a totally different approach... RUN Forest RUN...
You can play in 4 games and retain redshirt. I dont care if Shrout is truly ready,we should have played him in UTEP and Etsu games. JMHO

Any J.G. Haters gonna beg for more Chryst now?

What is the difference? Chryst makes turnovers and JG can't read defenses. The reason he is injured is because he can't change protections at the line and has to wait for his assigned receiver to clear before releasing the ball. At least Chryst can read the defenses and move the offense. I do not see our QB play being any better next year unless we can start a freshman. But that would be cruel with our OL.
