Currently I live in Johnson City, and I have Comcast. Every channel skips every 5-10 seconds. Curious if anyone else is having these problems? thanks

You know what's worse than Comcast? Hargray, that's what I have to have as far as cable goes.

Sounds like there is feedback in the line somewhere, whether it is at the tap or all the way back to the node.

Have you tried unplugging the box and waiting 60 seconds and then replugging it back in? I have to do that everytime they do updates. It could be something much more complicated such as what GSV described, but thought I would throw out what always works for me.

I recommend taking a poo and mailing it to your local Comcast customer service center.

Quick question for you guys. I got some terrible news today. A job i have been trying to get for months now finally decided to give me an interview. Well they did a credit report on me and a collection showed up for comcast. The thing is, I have never had comcast and the dates showing on the claim is when i wasnt even 18 years old. WTH do I do? I called comcast and they said to file a fraud report and they would investigate it. Then proceeded to tell me that it would be months maybe even a year before it would be removed from my credit report and even that wasnt a gurantee. Somebodys jackass mistake is about to cost me the best job opportunity i have ever had.

File a report, and then file a dispute with the credit agencies. That will knock it of there.

Mistake? Or fraud?

There are instances where parents use their children's bio information to get utilities cut on.

Just saying...

Comcast as a whole just blows. I liked the programing, but their customer service to their service is very unprofessional. There's a reason why we're with ATT now.

I question a company that wouldn't hire you over that. That's ridiculous

I know man. I just dont know what to do. I need to do my best to try and get this resolved asap or i can kiss this job away. I called transuion and some arab told me that your not considered a minor on your credit report after the age of 16

while on the phone with the lady at their corp. office, she interupted me while giving her my info by asking her fellow co-worker to smell her new perfume.

Surely the company interviewing you can use common sense.

For all the minor headaches I've had with ATT, they've always been polite and expedient in helping us out.

If its truly fraudulent it can be removed fairly quick . Join one of those free credit report sites. File a claim, when it's done quit the service.

I filed a dispute over the telephone because it kept messing up online. The guy, which i could hardly understand, said we will mail you some reports to your current address. The address on my report is an address i have never lived. Now i have to mail them a bunch of crap to verify i live where i really do. I have lived at this address for 13 freaking years.

It's true. When I worked for comedycast in the lower income areas people would try that crap all the time.
