So how exactly did Jumper lose the game "singlehandedly"??
Ok, Uncle Dobbs (no offense, all of the REAL Uncle(s) Dobbs out there) --
truly, you have another more important issue to deal with, which would be passing + protection (i.e. you should be focusing less on this defensive guy, as the Defense overall is in the right position and doing exactly what it needs to do, in holding its first two opponents to fewer points than what they were avging this past year (as I think I understand it) -- and while although Shoop did say NO ONE will run on his defense, and that's not been the case, things are ok on this front / yet I suppose likely he should not have said this prior to his year 1).
So, using your absolute 3500 total yards (being the low-end of your 3500-4000 range), Dobbs needs to avg 248 yards over the next 13 games.
Can he still pull this out? Dobbs had 254 yrds on FL last year, 279 on GA, 255 vs SC and 233 against KY.
Yet, what if we keep winning and Dobbs doesn't reach his required weekly avg to hit your 3500? Won't it be ok?
What if we keep winning, and Colton misses a few tackles or is out of position a few times as he continues to learn SEC play? Won't it be ok?
Did Dobbs ever struggle during his first 6 games as a freshman, or the games his soph year? Shucks, hasn't he thrown a few questionable passes during games 1 and 2 of this/his SR year? Of course, that's no excuse for the play of a LB, it' just food for thought.
