A guy who may be ready to return to the college level is Brad Stevens. He is a proven winner who I think could put a good team together.

Like has been said through out the thread. He makes a ton in Boston and won't leave for Tennessee. He also is turning that roster around.

Sorry, I don't mean to laugh but I do.

Why do our fans think Brad Stevens is attainable?

I don't know but it's like this with most fan bases. Just about every school with an opening the last couple of years throw out Shaka Smart's name despite him turning down the likes of UCLA. Same with Stevens and Gregg Marshall.

I'm telling you guys, Butch is recruiting Erik Spoelstra to be the next head coach at UT. And we all know Butch doesn't lose recruiting battles.

The front office has basically been begging him to tank and he won't allow it. It's awesome.

Yup. I've been a Celtics my entire life. I'm at the tipping point with the front office right now. I was skeptical of Stevens at first. He was a great college coach, but I wasn't sure of how well he would do with makkng the jump to the NBA that quick. He has completely surprised me....especially with what he has had to work with.

After being contacted by UT Chris Holtmann(Butler's head coach) is very interested in the Tennessee job and at this point is the lead candidate. Via bleacher report.

I like this guy, and I think it would be a good hire. Has great charisma, and is a good X's and o's coach.

Id rather have Chris Mack

I think if we could get the stability and "weight" of Rick Barnes in here, we take it and never look back. He's a guy that wouldn't be dwarfed by guys like Cal or Donavan, knows how to recruit, and could point to some NBA guys to attest to his development ability.

So, you wouldn't want one of the best coaches in the world? Yeah, his age is a huge problem and now way will he be hired or even considered, but to say you wouldn't want him is ludicrous.

So you say he's too old, there's no way he'd even be considered, and he's never coached in college, but you say I should want him?

Get serious.

Chris Mack would be better than expected hire!!! But I doubt he is on Bama Dave's radar.

Alum at Xavier and has said that he coaches for the university and has turned down higher money to help alma mater. Would be a tough pull
