Coaching Search Thread

@jerrymeyer247: Not expecting assistant coaching changes at Texas. I'm expecting an entirely different coaching staff there next year.

Rick Barnes thoughts? Not done much lately but was very successful in early Texas career and at Providence. Also pretty good recruiter.

Texas AD said last night that he was inclined to keep Barnes if he makes some changes, on and off the court. won't believe Barnes is even remotely gone until it happens.

Maybe we can get a coach that likes to play offense and put the basketball through the hoop

Brad Underwood...9th in ppg with 79.5 (sf austin)
Steve Prohm...11th in ppg 79.1 (Murray State)
Bobby Hurley...28th ppg 75 (Buffalo)

Compared to our 63.3 ppg which ranked 283rd

By the way I haven't been in here lately, but Austin Ward (covers OSU) said Archie Miller is holding out for OSU job. Thad Matta apparently has serious health concerns or something, so...yeah.

Asking a coach to make changes is about the worst show of confidence ever by an AD.

If Barnes finds a good landing spot, he's as good as gone IMO.

Umm - it's Friday at the beach -- libations have begun and I'm ducking as soon as I hit Post: Bo Ryan or Tom Izzo :pardon:
