I don't disagree about needing both, but the question is valid IMO. I see us as lacking both coaching and talent. Suppose one could argue that the coaching staff assembled this limited roster so ultimately they're responsible for that, too.Why ask this question? Football is the ultimate team sport. You have to have the talent and you have to have the coaching. If one is lacking then you won’t win big.
Whoa now. You can’t be blaming players. Don’t you know it’s always the coaches fault? It’s the coaches fault that we miss tackles. It’s the coaches fault that Gilbert missed that FG. It’s the coaches fault that JA struggled. How many times have we turned over coaches around here only to be right back frustrated again, complaining that the coaches suck? They have got to figure out how to get experienced talented players in here or it’s going to over sooner rather than later.
The question isn’t valid. Everyone knows we need better talent and better coaching. The coaches aren’t responsible for poor execution.I don't disagree about needing both, but the question is valid IMO. I see us as lacking both coaching and talent. Yeah, Golesh was the star of this staff and we lucked into Hooker. I'm to the point that I ponder who will be on our radar to hire in 2028 and can we hold on to Brandon until someone that can develop him gets here.Heupel is as average as they come. If you think he has what it takes to win anything of significance at any school...you're delusional.
And how many opt outs did Tennessee have vs Illinois?Tennessee is more talented than Illinois and lost anyways. Primarily coaching in my opinion
