.....and that's why I've been harping about. Saban, Spurrier and Smart would meet them on the field as they came off and got in their face. They were/are the head guy and didn't leave corrections to the position coach only. They took charge. If they thought they were not getting through to the player they grabbed his face mask and chewed him out even more. When that was warranted they were sent to the bench and the next guy was up. Remember all those heisman quarterback candidates Spurrier used to have at Florida? He gave them two and at the most three possessions to open the game. If the offense didn't score they were sent to the bench.Come on. It’s this simple. Jonathan Crompton said it. Ramon Foster and Jayson Swain has said it. AP and Hubbs have said. It’s INDIVIDUAL EFFORT. Coaches can teach you until they are blue in the face but the individual has to want it. And this year many of our guys just didn’t want it.

We don't have discipline like that. One poster on here said he was at the game last night and didn't see any player get a chewing out - not even the linemen that stood and watched their man hit our QB in the backfield. No wonder this crap goes on. It is tolerated without correction. If they don't want it throw them off the team. That's what happened when I played and it sure lit a fire under everyone else. You'd be surprised how much the attention span improved as well.
How many times has Vandy beaten us under Heupel? He’s a far better Coach than Heupel. We are still waiting on Heupel to learn from all the same mistakes that he keeps making. Good coaches put their players in a position to win no matter the talent, I haven’t seen that since the GA game until Josh reared his ugly head again and iced his own feeble kicker.
