I have been consistent from day 1. I think Heupel inherited a pile of flaming poo.
I thought that a legitimate goal was to make a bowl. I thought that Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia, and Alabama were losses and no one was going to take this group and win those games. The three cupcakes and Vandy were wins. Pitt, SC, KY, and Mizzou were toss ups. Two were at home, two were on the road. Tennessee splits them, they go bowling.
Why anyone would think there was "win now" talent, I have no idea? I think Heupel is doing the best he can with the hand he was dealt.....which is a team full of players who never got much playing time or experienced failure when they were actually on the field.
It's a job nobody wanted and nobody has wanted for a while because most people know that you are going to have two years worth of losing before you can get it going.
The man didn't even get a chance to put a first recruiting class together, which is usually weak for a new hire anyway
