CJP compares program to Titanic

Let's face it...someone needs to do a lead test on the water tap in the Tennessee HC office becaus e everyone who has set up shop there has started spouting off some pretty stupid stuff in fairly short order. From Fulmer's "we didn't get stupid overnight" through Dooley and his shower discipline to Jones and (wow too many to choose from here) to Pruitt and the Titanic..it ist just sad
.I IAM convinced that if Abraham Lincoln had sat down in the UT HC office to write the Gettysburg Address, it would have sound d like something by Pee Wee Herman.

Check. The. Water.

Well if he thinks we are the titanic, he must be the captain.

The passengers on the Titanic, who are you... the players... should be fine with the horrible decisions made by the White Star Line, our AD, and the Captain, me, that led us to sinking overnight in the freezing North Atlantic. I ask those among you to die with this ship. Sink to the bottom to a watery grave you didn't choose because that's the brave thing to do.

I mean, I don't know about you guys... but I'm ready to run through a wall for that guy. I'll always remember a stirring speech from a new Battalion Commander who compared himself to the officers who completely misread tidal charts (and ignored expert advice of people who had experience specifically with Tarawa) and got a bunch of Marines drowned while under severe fire while wading to shore due to their landing craft running afoul . It really inspired confidence in my leadership.*

* This is a complete fabrication and sarcasm, because VN is really bad at reading comp and especially detecting sarcasm.

“I think Titanic came out when I was in college,” Pruitt said at the Knoxville Quarterback Club after Tennessee’s 0-2 start. “When the boat starts going down, remember all those mice running to the top, right?

“We have had a few that’s left our program, but you will figure out who wants to be a Tennessee Vol and who don’t. I can tell you this: I want to. I know the standards and expectations that we have and the men on our staff and the character that we have. You’ll see the best of the players at Tennessee throughout the year.”
