I'm not offended in the least that he's gay, or that anyone is gay. Just as I'm not offended that someone was born lefthanded or with brown hair.

i think the issue w/ this guy is that he is a christian music artist, and him being gay kind of contradicts what the bible says. idk just saying

Gotta watch those church types. The youth minister at my CoC in Brentwood many years ago was sent to prison for molestation at a different church.

I sing several of his songs, most often "The Anchor Holds", one of the best contemporary songs written IMO. I am singing it in concert Sat. night. The message hasn't changed just because the messenger has. I will still sing it.

My grandfather is a "church type". He's been a minister for 50 plus years and he wouldn't harm a fly.

And many "church types" are sincere in their beliefs and actions.

But the ones who aren't cast doubt on those who are.

Due to my upbringing, I've had the opportunity to see multiple religions...and more hypocrisy than in any other single facet of life.

Because of my experiences, my "religion" is karma. Do good things and goodness will follow you. If your heart is black...well.......

Wow...how did I get off on this rant? Religion is definitely not my thing. "You will be eternally damned if...." If what? I don't agree with the man leading your church?

I'll take my chances.
