Peterson will not come here. Out of all his years of coaching he has only coached on the East coast one year and that was in 1992.

His name being brought up is just his agent doing his job and getting him a raise.

My theory is this, everything depends on recruiting. Bama does not run some complex system, they just get the best players and keep it simple in the weight room and on the field. That is what we need to get back to. We are not going to scheme our way back to SEC championships.
Petersen might sway a few prospects with his past success but he's not going to be the draw that Gruden would.

Stop. There is no Gruden ceiling. He is NOT coaching UT, now or ever.

Any recruiting concerns with Petersen? He can coach for sure but you need to bring in the Jimmies and Joes to be successful in this league.

By the way, all on board with Petersen. He’s a white whale type on par with Gruden.

Hire the right staff and recruiting will be fine. Get a kid on campus in Knoxville and you have a really good chance of landing him as we have top 5 facilities.

Not likely. Just got a raise and contract extension. Highest paid coach in the PAC 12.

His people reached out to us. I still think Frost or Mullen are the most likely but this guy would be a grand slam.

I’ve been hoping for Gruden, but I believe Petersen would be even better. Just always assumed he was even less realistic than Gruden.
