I have never seen any proof that he is a scientologist. He is not on any list of notable scoentologists. This is just message board rumors.

Appreciate the information. I’m still hopeful for Gruden or Patterson. I’m sick of the 20 minute explanations of why Mullen would be good... if it takes 20 minutes than it’s not a good hire

Chris Peterson (with an "o") was a scientologist who died several years ago. Chris Petersen (football coach) is a Catholic. And AllAmericanPyro is an idiot.

I’ve been saying this for a while. It’s realistic if we make a serious big time offer. Chris Petersen is not happy at UW. He could be looking to get out. His sons health is no longer an issue. The buyout isn’t an issue. Only makes 4-5mil we should offer 8 with incentives and do whatever it takes to get him. He’s far and away my #1 choice.

Petersen took Washington to the final four last year , with 2 and 3 star talent. Give this man 4 and 5 stars , lets see what he can do

Honestly think Mullen is better . Gruden hasn't coached in 10 years and is a MUCH bigger risk then Mullen . Also a lot of people said he didn't have good player development... big issue In college

I can understand that, I would like Gruden for the sole fact that I know it'd get recruits excited and he is smart enough to bring in a great staff. But I'm also realistic enough to know I'd prefer a guy like Patterson or Petersen that has a lot of college experience and a proven winner. I think Mullen is an upgrade from Butch, but I do not think he's the guy that will take us to the next level.

I think Gruden and Petersons ceiling are both higher then Mullens but think mullens Floor is higher then Gruden and at this moment in time I would prefer a minimum 8 win season with every 3 or 4 years 10+ wins a season for 8 or more years then a coach that at worst could be fired in 4 years for winning 6 games a season but also has the possibility to win a National Champuonship in his second ... in tired of coaching changes

I would be totally shocked, but this would be an amazing hire. Along with Patterson, the best hire we could make. Wow, please be true!

Petersen is a great coach where he is. He has no ties down here which does not bode well for recruiting and the better SEC defenses with their elite speed and athleticism will not give his offense time to create the misdirection and play development that is the hallmark of his offense. Also, Petersen already makes about $5 million a year so we're going to have to give him Gruden/Kelly dollars to get him over here. That said, he's a person whose hire would not cause me to seriously consider renouncing 40+ years of fanhood.
