Hate to say it, but long overdue. Great guy, was a great player, but can’t produce at the level he was being paid. He’ll end up somewhere.

lol ???

3× First-team All-Pro (2013, 2015, 2016)

He didn't play in 2017 or 2018 because of the Achilles, not because he "didn't produce".

Chiefs defense will not be recognizable from last season. Can't say they have done anything just yet to make it better but they are creating a ton of salary cap spending room.
Their defense was garbage, last season. Scrap the entire unit.

Eric needs to retire and buy 1 or 2 Chick-Fil-A franchises. Working the lunchtime rush is almost as intense as a safety blitz.
Someone needs to open one at Hardin Valley. Will Pellissippi, King, all the businesses and housing development it would kill.

How about here's hoping that he has been smart financially and that the Chiefs resign him to a 1 game deal and he can retire as a Chief. Live and enjoy the rest of his life. He has gone through more than most do in 80 years.

The comments about Eric on here are incredibly erroneous. (Except the ones about him not being on the field of course) there was no mental hurdle he had to get over contributing to him being “day to day” he overcame cancer... An Achilles injury doesn’t even compare.
He is a very smart business man and has a very good team around him... it won’t take him long to get a contract signed with someone quickly... just remember he is an old soul... 😉

Achilles injuries are very very hard to get over and rarely do players return to their old self. Wishing the guy the best of luck and hoping he does return to regular form because the dude was an absolute beast
I have a client that blew out his Achilles. Granted, he's not a high level athlete, but he still has a slight limp after 3 years.

I’ve tore the same ACL and LCL twice, and can’t imagine how people go back and play football. Once your knee is opened up, it will never feel the same again.

We know that he had health issues, unfortunately but this might not be exactly the reason why they released him.

The Chiefs are switching to a 4-3 and are cleaning house. Released(or traded can't remember) Houston and traded their best pass rusher Ford. Also, brought in Tyrann Mathieu

You cant buy a CFA franchise...or ever own one. If you win their lottery and get picked to become an "operator" then you pay 10,000 dollars and get 1 location. Nobody can own more than 1 location until they have been an owner for more than 10 years, and you never actually own the franchise, so you cant sell it...you are just an operator. They do things totally different from anyone else. There are zero absentee owners that just cash the checks, operators work at their stores full time. Net revenue per store is 250,000 dollars per year on average in the US for the operator.

That said, there are much better franchise opportunities than CFA. They are however a great Christian company, do incredible business volume, always have the BEST service and staff in fast food, and do it all in 6 days a week, not the Lords day.

Just a little CFA info. I love their chicken lol

seems the Chiefs are blaming/getting rid of everyone on defense for the playoff loss to NE -- when it was all on that one idiot that lined up off sides and he is gone too

Say what you want....but the NE Patriots were given the SB. The Chiefs gave it to them on a weird, wacky play when one dude lines up off-sides on an INT thrown by Brady. No off-sides - EB goes to the Super Bowl and probably wins.

Their entire defense was the reason. If KCs defense had played even half as good as the offense, they probably would have steamrolled to a SB win.

Would be a nice pair to put Berry with Byard. Berry would then be freed up to play the box like he made his living doing. Sucks the Titans are going to stick with Vacarro
Are you insane? Vacarro was very, very good last year....it’s the reason why JR said it was a priority for the ballclub to make sure they signed him.

Yep, game was over after Brady threw his 3rd int of the game, the game-loser....but that idiot Dee Ford lined up a freaking yard off sides, and the Patriots, as usual, we’re given every possible, conceivable break to win the game. Sickening.

Eric will have a good career continue because he is a great safety/leader.Whichever team gets his services, will be enhanced tremendously.Dallas could be a top stop.Or Cleveland, for two safety needing teams.
