Uh, is he REALLY doing a card shuffle with a huge stack of Benjamins? If he is, at what point does the staff say ENOUGH? I, am tired of hearing about this poor little boo-boo and his attachment to his momma. Send his sorry ass HOME, and get the money back while you are at it. Sheesh.I’m sorry, why are you lecturing us?

I completely agree. If he doesn’t play, he should be forced to payback all the $$ that he has received. Because he is a Vol (for now), I’m trying to give him the benefit of the doubt .I get where you are coming from in a sense.
This is someone who is being paid MILLIONS of dollars whether they play or not, it's a f'n scam. I have zero sympathy.
This is incorrect. HIPAA deals only with Health Care providers and those responsible for transmitting protected health care information. Lay people and employers are not held accountable under their auspices. While ethics would require judicious use or disclosure of that information it is definitely not covered under HIPAA.School or coaches can’t say a thing if it’s a medical issue because of HIPAA violations. Perhaps that’s why we’re not really hearing much other than coach Speak.
We have a GM? Maybe I live under a rock, but who is it?At this point I’m not counting on him contributing much, if anything, this fall. Do we need a new GM? I’m beginning to wonder if we’re allocating the wrong amount of money to the wrong guys. Pretty sure this kid was our highest profile transfer prospect and he got something like 3 million in an NIL deal based almost entirely on potential.
Gotta say....if UT is giving the money up front and not in installments or without legally binding contracts, they're idiots and they deserve humiliation and derision.I get where you are coming from in a sense.

Thanks. Hadn't seen that. I'll be curious to see how this "deal" with Coleman was structured and how our GM deals with this now and going forward. I'm hoping he didn't expose us to having a kid and his family bleed us and we get zero in return with no recourse. If so, I'd consider that grounds for termination.![]()

It's FERPA for coaches. They can't disclose info about the student's "school records" and whatever the team physician, etc has diagnosed is considered a "school record" I believe. This is incorrect. Yeah I have no idea how involved he is with the deals directly. It might be a combination of him and the staff together, not 100% sure. But with this new format I would think you need a good GM like a pro team has who is directly responsible for stuff like this.Thanks. Hadn't seen that.
