Chaney interviewing with Rams?

While you may could find a good replacement Im sure Dooley is at a point where he hopes we have seen the end of having to replace anymore coaches this year.

I agree, we dont need anymore coaches to leave. Now we just gotta fill up the empty spots left and get to offseason work.

Chaney was a package deal compliments of Hambone, I don't think DD had much of a choice at the time to dispute.

After NSD, please Bail !!!! I imagin Chaney will be like Bodwen and Paternio. After he gets so old, we will have to prop him up somewhere in Neyland stadium for the game on Saturday . He will be like Fulmer, nobody wants him.

I am not a Chaney fan and would be happy to see him go, but at this point, I hope he waits til after NSD before announcing anything like that. Let's get this class in the book, then move forward from there.

For the record, I just don't think Chaney's offense fits in the SEC. You have to play a balanced offense to succeed here. When Hunter went down, it was obvious no time had been spent on establishing a running game. I don't care how good our receivers are, you have to be able to run the ball.

You don't think Arkansas' offense was successful this year?

If Chaney stays, we will be #1 in the conference in points and yardage. (The only play caller I've seen in recent years who might have been able to move the ball with Matt Simms at QB has little horns on his head and stands on the sidelines at USC.)

Everyone is calling for a new OC, now…
I do not agree that Chaney was a good keep to build undeveloped talent. Let’s face it he runs a very complex, albeit successful Offence. The problem the last 2 years has been the learning curve. Also missing the key pieces needed to hit those plays. Mistakes were made, plays were schemed around 4 guys. 1 went down in the FL game, 1 didn’t show up at the level we needed him to, and 2 had … personnel issues.
We fans got to see glimpses of greatness with these young men, and some fans … myself included, bit on that and wanted to expect it. The thing is now that these young men have grown in the knowledge of the scheme, and how their job impacts the other players I think they can turn the page and grow as a team. Some blame does fall on the coaches for trusting the players to make plays “Consistently”, young players are not consistent. We as fans need to understand that a coach trusting a player is not a bad thing, it’s not always a good thing either though.
They are not young anymore, they have developed seeing at times how good they can be. At the same time being frustrated and blame casting to explain not holding it together. Changing OC and starting back at the bottom of the curve is not the best thing to have happen right now. If we change OC again, it will translate into more frustration for the players this fall. I am not saying the talent we have cannot learn a new system right now, I just mean that it will be at a cost. That cost will likely be missing teamwork again.
I think we need to be stuck with Chaney for at least this next year. Then, we can consider bringing Cutcliff back as our OC/Assoc. HC, Manning as our QB coach :) , and all will be well.

I have no idea whether Chaney should be fired or not, but I'm confident that if Bray and Hunter were healthy all season, this wouldn't even be a debate.

But isn't that the OC job to be prepared. There were 9 SEC schools that changed QB's last year and TN seemed the least prepared.
