CFP NC Game

Brian Kelly is easily one of the most overrated coaches of all time. He had Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas on his team last year. That's far worse coaching malfeasance than having Hurd and Kamara and not winning some kind of championship
Nvm…misread post.

Pretty good play caller though.
Play calling is overrated at the college level. He was really good at Cincinnati then got the ND job. He did get them to a NC in the BCS format, where they got embarrassed worse than we did by OSU. He's been disappointing at LSU. From his first year to the first game of this past year. Especially in big games with superior talent

My mistake…I was partially paying attention in a thread about OSU and read Chip Kelly when the post was about Brian Kelly. Don’t have much good to say about Brian.

Well, he had us turned every which way and confused. When was the last time we said that about our offensive staff? 2022? We were as predictable as the sun setting in the West.

Texas had them on the ropes. Oregon beat them in the regular season. Michigan embarrassed them at home. They were not head and shoulders above everyone. They just got hot at the right time.

This is how the new playoff era will be. It'll be like the NFL playoffs where once you get in it'll be about who gets hot at the right time.

We're still a ways away from being a national title contender. We need more talent on this team if we wanna be the sort of team that can go on these hot streaks down the stretch.
By your theory what if we got hot at the right time? Then we would have been a legitimate contender?

Oregon and Michigan beat them in the regular season. They were a different team in the CFP. Want evidence? They blew out that same Oregon team in the CFP. And Texas only kept it respectable because Ohio State kept shooting itself in the foot…but still win by 2 scores.

Tennessee didn’t play them in the regular season. Tennessee played them in the CFP when they were elite. And, unlike those other teams, we had to play them at their place. Without our top 2 RBs (one of whom was SEC POY), 2 OL, Norman-Lott, and 2 starting WRs (and the top 2 backups had entered the portal).

For those downplaying Ohio State’s talent this past season, I just saw where Daniel Jeremiah has six Buckeyes in his first Top 50 list and Bucky Brooks has four of them going in the first round of his1.0 draft. Obviously, theses projections fluctuate between now and draft day, but anything close to either of these indicates OSU had substantial talent.

Did not care about either team and instead started watching a new to me tv series The Agency. Eff Notre zDame and OSU.
