South Carolina beat UGA. When is the last time UT caught an opponent on a bad week? I’d say it was when we played Bama under Butch and were up in the fourth. Bama has played like eight consecutive games and we were coming off a bye.
Eventually you HAVE to beat someone you shouldn’t. Amazing how many times our basketball team has done it, but I can’t think of a single win like that in football in over a decade.

If you take care of fundamentals and S&C you WILL beat a more talented roster. The only exception would be deficiencies in these areas and really bad coaching.

Exactly. Those things are all based on accountability and leadership and it has to start there. Once those things are in place everything will have a domino effect and take care of themselves. I feel like we finally have that with Pruitt and staff and it becomes infectious (poor word choice right now) to the players all the way down to the GA’s and managers.

OU is taking a step back and we are taking probably 2 steps forward. Oline and Dline are both some of the best in the conference.

My armchair guess is 8 or 9 regular season wins, potentially dropping one we shouldn't and/or potentially pulling out an improbable win over a UF/GA/etc. Not a single game on the schedule is a foregone conclusion, obviously...here's hoping the team forces the chips to fall our way through their effort on the field.

I'm sorry but Bama is the toughest game on our schedule . UGA will be how they always are, Florida is a good team but they aren't Bama, Oklahoma seriously? I don't know if we'll win all or any of these 4 games but people saying lose to fl or UGA or the Sooners and beat bama??? That's nuts, bama had a ton of injuries to important players last year so they had a down year. Their down year and everyone else's is totally different

I think we have a better chance to beat OU than UF and I think we will win in Norman. I think we lose to both Bama and GA. 1-3 in those 4 games.

I agree. People shouldn’t underestimate Bama this year. Bama may not be winning games before they get off the bus anymore, but Saban didn’t forget how to coach and there were a lot of pieces missing on that D last year, not to mentioned they are pissed and will be highly motivated. I fully expect Bama to win the West and be in the CFP talk at the end of the season.

I read that article first then saw your post, and had the same thoughts. I'm leaning towards 9-4 with bowl win. Until we have this younger talent in the system a year or two, I don't see us beating UGA or Bama. OU is a tossup IMO. Bama is just the big monkey on our backs, and I see UGA bumbling around on offense for a while, with their defense keeping them in some games they should run away with. UGA's defense should be STELLAR this year. We will see how things go with that, because I still don't think Kirby is a phenomenal coach. He's stocking talent like Calipari at UK and riding on that, IMO.

OU's Spencer Rattler is still unproven even though he was highly recruited at QB position. Their Defense historically sucks and doesn't look to be getting any better anytime soon. I do not see why we cannot go into Norman and win. I know it is just projection but currently, TN D is highly ranked. They are projected to have the number seven defense and if this holds true Rattler might be in for a long day.
