Carolina Panthers

He didn't dance around like an idiot and talk trash after the game? Wonder why?

What are you babbling on about? He's never trash talked an opponent in post game media to my knowledge.

Onto the Panthers, the Defense is far and away the issue. Secondary is a damn joke and the Dline isn't far behind. Gettleman deserves his fair share of criticism for the status of the defense.

If we didn't already know it, this team is done, as far as playoffs go. 1-5, 1-4 in conference, 0-3 in the division. D.O.N.E.

He was prancing around and playing to the crowd when they tied. He wasn't prancing around when they lost. Then he acted like a b**** in the press conference. He's such an embarrassment for Carolina. Haha

Again, a Seahawks fan in here commenting on sportsmanship and personal conduct is one of the more ironic things I've seen.

I can't stand Michael Bennett, I'll give you that. Seattle's QB is respectable, Carolina's isn't. It's not hard to understand. Newton acts like a b**** on every play then goes and cries after a loss.

Have fun with your embarrassment.

Seahawks' Leroy Hill beating up his girlfriend, remaining on the team, then beating up his girlfriend again = Not an embarrassment

NFL MVP "prancing around too much" = Embarrassment

Got it

Again, you're a pot calling the kettle black here. Makes you look petty, tbh. Cam Newton is not, and never has been the problem with this team. His play actually makes those around him better and he is respected in the locker room and in the commmunity, which is all I give a **** about. Couldn't care less if he pisses off media members or news outlets or if other teams' fans hate him.

I also remember someone on your team doing similar things (holding his **** in celebration, brief press conferences, flashy gold cleats, grill in his mouth, talked a bunch of crap on the field). Just can't recall right now who it was..........

Great win! The season is not over. If they can hit a roll like after the Giants win a few years ago, we could definitely hit 9-7. That could win this division.

Goose is cooked. Draft position is most important now. Bring on edge pass rushers and athletic tackles, please.

Tell me you aren't one of those people hoping the team will tank the season for better draft position.
We spend so much time in the spring and summer dreaming about the 16 games we'll get to watch our team play. Now we're playing and you're already wishing it away. People dreaming of good draft position might have a point if the draft was an exactly science. It isn't, though. Look at Prescott and Goff this year, for example. As of the beginning of October (I don't know the stat now) there were only 10 first round picks from this draft that were starting. That's 21 players drafted in round one that weren't even starting. What you need to hope for more than draft position is that Gettleman makes smart decisions. Unless it's week 17 and your team is up for the #1 overall pick where there is a clear-cut top guy, gtfo with that draft position nonsense. I like to watch my team win. I don't care if that moves us from pick 8 to 14. We are only promised today so every day I get to watch my team play, I'm going to cheer them on and hope for a win.
Also, though it's unlikely, a playoff run is not out of the question yet. We've hit crazy hot streaks in the past.

The Panthers have never been a team like the Giants, who go on these magical runs to win the Super Bowl. If the Panthers squeak into the playoffs, they've usually been out almost immediately. I've seen this song and dance many times over the past two decades.

Also, we desperately need an injection of talent on both lines of scrimmage. The only way to do that is through the draft, trades, and FA (duh) and the higher position you are in the draft, the better the player you have a chance to get (again, duh).

On defense, can you imagine this team with Joey Bosa at DE? On offense, can you imagine this team with Ronnie Stanley at RT? Both of whom did not last until mid first-round. So yes, draft position absolutely matters, unless your name is Bill Belichick.

This kind of seems like a made-up thing to me, though. The Giants went on runs because they had an elite defensive line and a clutch QB. When these Panthers want to, they have the same thing, a 2014 loss @Seattle notwithstanding.

How about the season we started very poorly and finished 12-4? We didn't go far in the playoffs but I'm curious, are you only interested in a playoff bid if we are going to the Super Bowl?
That seems like you'd be disappointed MOST of the time. Has this team only made you experience joy twice since its inception? "No" is the answer you're thinking right now and that's bc winning is fun and it's what we watch for. Our division rivals, for instance, are teams that I cannot stand to see celebrate. I'd give up a Joey Bosa to see us beat all of those rivals in a season. Especially Atlanta! Plus, Bosa went third overall. If you are hoping we land a top three pick, please move along and find a new team.

The "true fan" card won't ever be applied to me with the Panthers. Been on board since I was 6 years old and watched them play the inaugural season in Death Valley. I witnessed the 1-15 season and the Jimmy Clausen era and stuck around. Let's get all of that straight.

Again, if you can't see that talent is desperately needed on both lines, I don't know what to tell you. How do you suggest picking that up? Gentleman has never been one to land high impact FAs. So, the draft this season will be critical if we want to strike while the iron is hot with the core players we have. They can't do it alone, we need some better supporting cast. Defensive end and offensive tackle are literally the positions keeping us from achieving similar success to last season.

Oher coming back will help, but the RT spot has to be addressed. And with KK's slip in play, we lack pass rush. CJ and Ealy are rotational guys at this point in their careers, we need edge rushers. It's obvious that this team doesn't have the pass protection or pass rush to make a playoff run. So draft position is going to be important. I really don't know how that's even debatable anymore. Also, I never said they should tank or quit, I just think the natural order of things will land them with a mid to early round pick.

Glad it's over. No reason they can't come back strong next season. In hindsight, that was an awful decision to cut Norman. It hurt on the field, and I think it may have sent a bad message to the team.

Hard to believe this team went 15-1 last year. Cam seemed like a completely different person.
8th pick. Jamal Adams? Cam Robinson? Leonard Fournette? Mike Williams? Derek Barnett?

Good for McD. Bring on Steve Wilks. Will be a smooth transition. I wish him well, but this was Ron's defense. Sean McDermott was like Kirby Smart.
