Carolina Panthers

How are you guys feeling about this Baltimore game?
I usually love Smitty's level of crazy, but I think maybe someone should at least ask him to make sure his "blood and guts" comment was hyperbole.

No excuses for this kind of play. Management knew about the attrition on the offensive line and did nothing about it in the off-season. Cam is getting killed back there. Must win game next week.

It still baffles me how management thought this offense would be better with out Steve Smith in it.

It's not as simple as that. I don't think they said it would be better without him. I think they just decided Cam couldn't grow into the leader they want with a loud-mouth aging WR in the huddle.

Disregard previous post. Nice recovery. Absolutely dominant in the second half. Based on the rest of the division, making the playoffs seems to be a near certainty.

Maybe they found their mojo at halftime.

That was a big win.

Defense played well.Offensively they still have a ways to go,but I was encouraged by the running game.

The next three games are brutal,if they can somehow manage to win two, I will be thrilled.

What's the status of the rb's? Reaves in for awhile?

A tough win for panthers and a much needed win.
Defense proved reliable when needed the most.

Impressive win after two horrid losses.

I was very impressed with Reaves yesterday. Guy was running tough between the tackles. I also think he is a case study as to why investing top draft picks on RBs (and paying them like we pay ours) these days is an absolute waste. Cam continues to show how much he's evolved as a passer. Mostly accurate on the day and the INT wasn't his fault. I still think he's banged up a bit, because he isn't showing the speed on his runs that he has in his first few years in the league. Benjamin came down to earth a bit, but he is a rookie, so that's to be expected.

Defense was very subpar yesterday. They picked it up in the second half, but Cutler wasn't pressured until the 4th quarter. Hardy was obviously a bigger piece to the puzzle than I imagined.

Overall, the entire division is weak this year, so I think we have a decent shot at the playoffs. However, with the Oline issues and inconsistent play on defense, I think we exit early again. Just my :twocents:

Gave away the W today, but a tie is much better than an L. Still looking good in the division. Falcons and Bucs are terrible and the Saints haven't looked much better than either one of them.

Worst offensive line in the league. Worst secondary in the league. Luckily, we might play in the worst division in the league.

Defense has played well enough to win today, Stewart has ran the ball hard............and Newton has killed them with untimely turnovers.

0:47 to redeem himself.

You can't settle for 3pts after a 1st and goal from the 3 and expect to beat the defending champs.
So tired of Shula!
