Carolina Panthers

Disappointing game. Glad this loss is happening now. Learn from it, chill out with the emotions, and play ball! Offense get this bad game out of you.

The Carolina Panthers team everyone expected to see at the beginning of the season finally showed up today.

While it's disappointing, I wouldn't put too much stock into it. A road game late in the season against a divisional rival, who still has a shot at the playoffs and who you beat the heck out of just two weeks earlier; in a league where there is so little talent differential between the team with the best record and the team with the worst, such obstacles can easily spell defeat, and they did today for the Panthers.

Hopefully we can get back fully healthy for the second week of the playoffs and be ready to roll again. Meanwhile, hopefully Arizona will lose this afternoon.

Arizona is not going to lose but it won't matter bc we will kill TB next week. I'd rather go into the playoffs hot than just resting players.
What is up with Charles Johnson? He's been a non-factor since his injury. We need a first round DE no question.

Would have been nice for Arizona to have lost today. Oh well. A loss today wasn't the worst outcome. Take care of business next week and get back on track. A perfect season would have been awesome, but the Super Bowl is the ultimate goal.

yep, that's the team i expected after KB went down, at least offensively. defensively, we've fallen way off. if we can't stop the run or get a pass rush, we're in trouble. big time.

I think the loss makes things a lot simpler for you guys in week 17.
sure does.

this team has not had any pressure in 6 weeks. it'll be interesting to see how they handle it.

not that it's a must win...but there's no way if we lose to TB this Sunday you could convince me we're primed for a deep playoff run.

we need to get our mojo back in a big way. we've dodged the Loss for about a month....yesterday it caught us...the only good news, better now than in 3 weeks...the bad news....the loss creates doubt....things didn't work out....we didn't make "the play"...

this game answered the "what if's" for us.

what if we don't have that big play to Ginn...

what if the other team makes that play (JJ's 70 yarder)

what if we turn it over

what if we don't get that call

we need to get back to what got us here. hopefully everyone has taken a collective deep breath, resets, and re focuses for the next month.

i do not want going to Arizona to be on the table.

Sean McDermott was fired by Philly not too long ago. He may get a job, but I don't see this being the one he takes.

Steve Smith giving if one more year makes me smile. Still a fan, even though he's not playing in Charlotte anymore.

#1 seed!!!
Seattle really makes me nervous, but I like how this season ended for us. We got a wake up call and then another confidence booster.
Why is Cam still playing, though??? Arizona is getting blown out.

Nice to come out and take care of business and not have to worry about any other outcomes. Now let's get healthy and get ready to take on, most likely, Seattle. I think they'll beat whoever they face next week, be it Washington or Minnesota and will be the lowest remaining seed. I don't see Minnesota losing tonight only to go back to Green Bay for a rematch next week and then win.

We always play Seattle tough, and I like the matchup being at home. Get the guys rested and prepared. It's time to claim the Lombardi at Super Bowl 50!

Seattle is gonna curb stomp Minnesota next weekend. Carolina vs Seattle will rematch one of the best games of this season.

Panthers next game is Sunday, January 17th at 1:00pm. IF they advance to the NFC Championship Game, it would be on the Sunday, January 24th at 6:40pm.

Keep Pounding!

Go Vikings and go Washington professional football team!

The Peanut injury has me worried a bit but I feel pretty good coming into the playoffs.
In the AFC, I really think the two widcard teams could play in their championship game.

THIS JUST IN: Panthers CB Charles Tillman is out the rest of the year with a torn ACL.

Stinks for him, but I thought McClain played as well, if not a bit better in coverage. This most likely ends his career. Hope the Panthers can win a ring for him, so he can ride off into the sunset in style.

hey, #1 seed, we're going to probably get Seattle. and that's ok.

i think we match up well against them, we have for the past 3 years anyway.

it does concern me that all of the sudden we can't get off the field consistently defensively, and we have zero pass rush. the secondary issues, with Tillman and Benwikere now out, also should give us some pause given some of the WR groups we may be going up against.

so, here's what i see, i see a Panther offense that is perfectly capable of making enough plays to hang with probably anybody. i see a panther offense that needs to be our best defense and play keep away.

i just hope the bye does what it needs to do....we still got work to do!!!

Go Panthers, Keep Pounding!!!!

Not that it matters, but I think Arizona threw their game yesterday, knowing that they would avoid getting Seattle in the playoffs, under most scenarios.

My surprise Wild Card prediction: Seahawks go to the frozen city of Minneapolis and lose. I think the weather, and the Vikes playing good football are going to be their downfall.

While I hope you are right, I don't share your optimism. Bridgewater and the passing game are too inconsistent. He only passed for 99 yards last week against Green Bay. AP is a little banged up. I just don't see them beating Seattle.
