Carolina Panthers

Panthers are now only the fourth team in history to be 14-0, with the last being the '09 Colts. Their regular season win streak of 18 games is also now tied for the third longest in NFL history.

The Panthers may not win the Super Bowl, and I'd say the odds are against them in that respect, but I'm not sure that we've ever quite witnessed a phenomenon like this in the history of American professional sports, where it's almost like a team that was down in the dumps (what were we? like 4-7-1, or something?) just flipped a switch. They even came fairly close to beating Seattle in the playoffs last year, until we completely lost it in the fourth.

It will never really mean anything unless we win the Super Bowl this year, but I don't know that we've ever seen anything like this. It may come to a startling end next weekend, but what is unfolding before us is without precedent in the sport.

3-8-1. I'm somewhat hesitant to include last season in this discussion, though, because it was a very different team and did lose in the playoffs.

But either way, I'm completely shocked by how good the offense is with Ted Ginn as the top WR and Michael Oher at LT.

Lost a ton of respect for Beckham Jr. today. I understand Norman plays chippy and gets under your skin, but he took it way over the top. Constantly getting in shots after the whistle, putting his hands inside Norman's face mask, spearing him helmet to helmet in the ear hole.

He deserves a big fine and suspension.

Good to get the win, but the defense cannot collapse like that in the playoffs, or the magician season is done.

One would have thought the last New Orleans game would have sufficed as a reminder we can't ease up, but evidently not. If this one doesn't do it, then nothing will. One thing that gives me hope though is the fact that this team has proven itself mentally tough when they had to be, which is really all that matters. My only worry is that we will one day allow a hole to be dug from which no amount of mental fortitude in "winning time" will allow us to escape.

Shots fired haha

Although Norman's in-game conduct was not beyond reproach, there's no denying Beckham was out of line. Personally, I think he should be suspended for the rest of the regular season.

Norman had his voice heard after the game; while the tweet is "cute," he needs to stop now and move on.
