At what point does Butch Jones just have to win and forget any thing else?

2016?

My guess is he had better start winning SEC games next year to show some sort of real process....on the field!

Or what? Start over and GUARANTEE adding 4 more years of losing seasons?

CBJ, throughout his coaching career, has proven he is an effective recruiter; however, no matter how much a coach recruits talent; the development of skill is a different coaching responsibility. For CBJ to have been an offensive specialist as he rose in coaching ranks, it's past time to strategize with what he has to produce wins. Good PR is a wonderful feeling; don't we all feel good when the VOLS prevail! Upcoming wins should be put away in the first column or all the great recruiting claims look good.....on paper.

CBJ was trying to get through the season with a serviceable QB and a bunch of Freshman getting their feet wet. .....Jones was trying to have a senior QB with all the talent he brought in this year.... Now with the injury to Worley and the redshirt off Dobbs we will have a first year QB when we have elite talent and depth.

Of course this doesn't have to be a bad thing because we now have a couple coming in that can have a chance to mature a couple of years before one takes over.

So, Jones is deferring wins while plotting the future, but not enough into the future to ready another QB in three years when Dobbs will have graduated? Not buying it.

I don't think Jones or any coach has the luxury of postponing wins while rebuilding a losing program, hoping to spring a royal flush later. If 84 guys are playing their guts out and see you holding out your best chance to win, reckon how that sits with them?

Perhaps, just perhaps, Dobbs still hasn't been showing that well in practice and when he got his chance, capitalized on it. Makes more sense.
