Anybody else disappointed butch went the company man route instead of publicly getting his players back and ripping the refs and bringing attention to the terrible call?
Butch should defend his players, Mosley did everything perfect and not only got kicked out the game but is subject to another suspension for doing everything exactly right. The media would be on butchs side and force the sec to admit they were wrong. Butch Uses the word family a lot, have your players back man.
Nothing ever really happens too much to make referees accountable except maybe at the end of the year some of them are not rehired, Spurrier said. They are kind of told to retire if they have too many bad calls.
Their quarterback was clearly in the end zone, Spurrier said. Everybody could see that. I just wish the head referee would have come talk to me. He would not come talk to me. I dont know how they explained it. We may never know how he explained it.
Spurrier isn't afraid to speak his mind, he's not scared to get fined or defend his players.
You left out Dan Mullen and Steve spurrier. Those coaches don't act like Sec puppets that are afraid of fines lol.
I'm the biggest butch fan in the world but he's a def sec company/puppet man who never speaks his mind or defend his players like other coaches do.
That was a huge hit, I understand the flag, but I don't understand the review supporting the original call. Unless it's just about how violent the hit was, and they were setting president that the hit was too much to be legal. I call it textbook, but I enjoy big hit Saturdays.
Go Vols!
I saw the play, and it was a beautiful hit. My question is, is what the **** happened to football? It seems like year by year it just deteriorates. Sissy ass bull****, oh god you can't hit anyone hard, player has to be ready for hit??? WTF!!!! Football used to be a war, players getting the holy **** knocked out of them every play, now it's turned into a softball game on Saturdays and Sundays. I really wish they would stop all this complete protection sissy bull****.
Dude, chill. Butch is smart. He turns 28 shades of red chewing the officials out on the sideline, on national TV, while his players and assistant coaches are watching, knowing that CBS or ESPN are preserving his disdain for all eternity. And then when the sideline reporter asks him what that was all about, he gives us all a chuckle by saying, "Oh, I was just telling them what a fine job I think they're doing representing their conference."
He has no NEED to "back his players up" after the game is over, he already did it in front of everyone watching the game.
All he would do by piling on later in a press conference would be to get a fine. It would add nothing.
So settle down, lad, Butch is no coward. He has their backs and the players know it.
Rucker says...No go on the reversal
Can the SEC reverse the ruling of the officials of targeting?
There is zero reason ANY call should be missed with the availability of replays and slow motion capture today.
The replay official, and all of the officials from last night (who missed at least two false start calls, multiple holds, and the obvious fumble on that play) should never officiate any level of football again.
